if anyone cares. this is what she is singing.

Quote:

Tant que l'amour inondera mes matins
Tant que mon corps frémira sous tes mains
Peu m'importent les grands problèmes
Mon amour, puisque tu m'aimes...
the english translation they gave me was wrong so this is the makeshift english I have.

Quote:

As long as love will flood my mornings,
As my body quivers under your hands,
I do not care for the major problems
My love, since you love me ...

Usually she wears similar outfits for TV lives of the same songs and have at least one different haircut for each era.... Nothing wrong, anyway, she doesn't need to dress like a homeless person to prove she has talent^^

Hmmn, true. Her recent lives are like that. But I think so hard and can't see she did that back in the old days (like... First Love, Distance, DR era). I dun think her hair style changed because of the lives tho. It's just coincidence that the hair style changes whenever she has a new song (and you know, it takes a her long time to release new stuff). Also, her outfits are always very casual, so it's hard to tell if she has different styles for different songs' live. All I can recall is that she wore formal dress in BML, black clothes and pants in Passion, Really loose top in FOL, tight tee in Beautiful World..

I can remember she wearing similar outfits while performing Can you keep a Secret too... And those were similar to what she weared on the PV...

I do believe she changes her looks based on releases, but I don't see this as anything wrong or as a statment of lack of talent or whatever... Usually her outfits fits her music at the moment, and in the end of the day, marketing is a good thing for a pop musician...

On the old day she had very few image-oriented promotion compared to the huge number (to her stantard) of performances and magazines Exodus, Ultra Blue, Heart Station and TITO had, what makes it harder for her to fix any image on her older releases... All of her post DR eras had a defined style to her clothes and hair^^

Everyone should follow these 2 twitter accounts:

@utadahikaru = this is her official twitter, she's mostly tweeting in Japanese but she's placed 1 English tweet.
@UBlog = U-blog's official twitter, they're translating and retweeting her tweets!

lol she's not used to twitter yet, she tweets like 10 messages in a row, forming 1 story. This is what she tweeted (or should I say: blogged :laugh):

Out of the 5 new tracks of the best album being released in November, I'm on the last line of the last song... The lyrics won't come! All the staff are waiting. I really should be recording vocals at this point blaaaaaa.

Thanks! I was able to finish the last lyrics and record the main vocals. Though I said 'the last line' of the song, it was really more like a line at the end of the first half of the song. For some reason lyrics never really come to me in order... Generally once I come up with a lyrical theme, the last half comes pretty naturally, but somehow I always struggle with the end of the first half of the song.

Finished recording the harmonies and back chorus! Fwaaah! Was a really mentally challenging song... Just drained me, something of a first. Ah but now the CD can be released on time~ Thank goodness. It's a storm of Thank Yous! Everyone, thank you for your hard work! There are some staff members still working at the studio... Syncing all the layers of back chorus, arranging data on different tracks... Just now (10PM) the engineer and assistant engineer were finally able to eat dinner. As to why "(my legs) are so drained"... I always stand when I record, but today's song... The lyrics required a lot of courage, I guess. Before I even realized it, my legs were so dead, I was kinda shocked that they didn't even feel like my own legs.

no way in hell will I believe that is 140 characters. Do some people have special rights when it comes to tweets? I don't have a twitter so I don't know their rules.

bluegie 29th September 2010 02:26 AM

Wait.. this is the translation of her tweets rite? If so the original must be in Japanese and is there a 140 characters rule in Japanese tweets? :P

CoriKaru 29th September 2010 02:41 AM

I just figured that post was a bunch of smaller tweets posted together in succession.

If that's all ONE TWEET....well gosh......a lot of things must have been GAINED in translation.

ll moments ll 29th September 2010 02:52 AM

there is a twitter app (twitlonger) where you can tweet more than 140 characters. it just sends a link to your twitter followers, but yeah anyway, she's not even using that. she's just sending out multiple tweets.

you can say so much more by tweeting in Japanese. since kanji can shorten the character count. and spaces count on Twitter too.

ex) 私は本を読んでいます。 (11 characters)
I am reading a book. (20 characters)

anyway, the song preview sounds interesting. can't wait for the full version. :)

ohsixthirty 29th September 2010 03:02 AM

Heck yeah, I'm gonna follow ublog for the translations. Twitbird translations aren't quite the best!

Tell me why that vaguely reminds me of what I read that Ayu went through when she was recording momentum?

primavera♥ 29th September 2010 04:18 AM

Oh so I've finally watched the cm and etc.

And I am happy as hell that she did this. This is a cover? Idc. Its lovely
And finally a language I'm learning to speak. Although initally I honesyly couldn't translate a word she said XD
I can't remember the melody and all that so its really not all that great to me so far
I just like the arrangement even if the composition isn't too great
Jazz :heart more inspiration to do jazz band next year. I love jazz music sometimes. Its just lovely.

Ah~ and she looks so gorgeous. And Pepsi? Now that's good promotion.

I know some people hope nothing else is in this style but I'm kinda ditching my liking of her experimental synth stuff if she goes to this XD
I was just worried shed do r&b again since that's like the other major genre of her career.

so just this little preview, I like. But its a cover someone says? what's the original?
if I don't like the final outcome of this song I can probably survive off the instrumental :)

^___^ wow. The opinions u can have on a short preview when deprived of some decent Utada Hikaru music.
(Man hikki should do a duet with shiina ringo)

Edith Piaf is so amazing. ♡

Picaflor 7/4 29th September 2010 04:58 AM

the only thing I dislike is how she says "pepshi" at the end instead of "pepsi". come on. >>
