Don't expect them #1 in this edition of weekly sales competition (#2 again, most likely). But I think Perfume's going to be #1 in quality of song over KAT-TUN - and their popularity keeps increasing! I'm going to say that Perfume is just another artist where quality matters over overall quantity...

Kasuka na Kaori is amazing.

See, this is exactly why I need to stay out of this thread until I receive my single, lol. When this single was first announced, I told myself that I wasn't going to watch the PV at all or listen to Laser Beam past the first couple of seconds until I received my copy. At this point, I've watched the PV, listened to Laser Beam in full and now I'm tempted to listen to Kasuka na Kaori. Apparently I don't have the self restraint to be able to stay in this thread and stick to my word, lol. But it's so hard to resist, I need help. :freak

As much I like it....it's sort of like a guilty pleasure song....like....maybe this is the kind of song Perfume would make all the time if Perfume was an AKB48 subunit or something.

It's a very happy song. Kind of something like their indie days, except with vocoder/autotune. It's a cute song!

Is there anyone who does Perfume lyrics translations? Or a Perfume forum where they have them? I haven't really seen any, so I was thinking of doing it myself.

Omg I am so in love with this single :luv2...Well I love Laser Beam at least, but Kasuka na Kaori is sweet. It had a cute little melody but it's gonna need to grow on me a little more.

EDIT: yes there's some finished translations of lyrics and lyrics in progress here, when you scan through the pages. I'm sure many haven't been added to the perfume city lyrics page because they were debating laser beam's lyrics!

Although I haven't listened to it, I'm happy to hear that Kasuka na Kaori is a cute and fun song. For some reason, I thought it was going to be more of a slower song than an upbeat one. My order for the single shipped yesterday so I'm hoping it won't be too long until I can listen to it on the CD. :)
