So it should be Italian .__. Spanish should be "buriyante" and I don't actually know how they write the French version in katakana... maybe "buriranto"? ò_O

The "official" way to read the title is, accoring to Ayu, is Burirante, just to clarify.

Nor really.. she say "burirante" just because she's Japanese and it's difficult for her to say just "brillante", which is the official way to read it :D

marekcarey 28th August 2011 07:15 PM

Yes, but its her song, so the way she wants it to be pronounced thats the correct way. :D
And if you know the phonetic alphabet it is /brɪlʌnte/ according to what she meant with the word.

Andrenekoi 28th August 2011 07:23 PM

I will not start using the engrish way to say her songs names just cuz she does xD

No buruu buradu or suupakuru for me xD

I think Why feat Urata it's a real lack of respect to Juno, why make the same song with the other feat guy?!?!?!?! the worst HT ever :(

Yeah, I agree that it feels like a little bit of a disrespect to JUNO. It's Ayu's song of course, but it just doesn't rub me the right way. It reminds me of Fergie giving Kuu That Ain't Cool as a (birthday?) present or something and then singing 95% of the song lol.

She doesn't want it to be pronounced like that, she just can't pronounce it correctly. ^^; She also say "puroguresu" for progress, "shikuretto" for secret, "baraado" for BALLAD but we don't pronounce it like that ^^

She actually prounces her song and album titles quite correctly. I find your post to be incredibly insulting and conceding to Japanese ESL speakers.

I didn't want to be insulting.. I was just explaining the Japanese way to read foreign words. Yes, Ayu's English is quite good, but still she pronounce her title songs in engrish 'cause it's easier to understand in Japan. ^^;;

Tom Punks 28th August 2011 08:00 PM

Poor Mami-chan. There was nothing insulting or condescending (I think that's the word he was looking for with "conceding") about your post. I dunno what he's overreacting about.

I find your post correcting me to be incredibly condescending to dyslexics.

^ lol

pepper 28th August 2011 08:14 PM

is this really that important how to pronounce it? I say BREE-LA-NTE, i don't care with the rest cause I'm mostly talking with Ayu fans by writing...

SKYia 28th August 2011 08:22 PM

English speaking natives always have such funny problems with pronounciation :D

pepper 28th August 2011 08:34 PM

I feel very ashamed, I LOVE remix of Why. It gives me goosebumps -_-

marekcarey 28th August 2011 08:38 PM
