C-ute has been attending 2 big yearly shows lately

That makes me happy, that not only M.Musume is outstanding

So after having been on hiatus for a couple months, Manaka Inaba of Country Girls has graduated from the group due to her asthma issues, though she's staying under UFP for now.

visionfactory 13th August 2016 08:48 AM

She's staying? I heard she won't

I hope she will, she and Uta were the only members I liked from Country Girls

mellody 15th August 2016 05:25 AM

I heard Buono! is back with new release!

Tsubaki Factory added three new members: Saori Onoda, Mizuho Ono, and Mao Akiyama (all from the Kenshuusei)

Also C-ute will be disbanding in June of next year.

visionfactory 20th September 2016 10:12 AM

So sad the news about C-ute

Solarblade 14th December 2016 05:27 PM

Morning Musume added 2 new members, both from the Kenshuusei (Kaede Kaga & Reina Yokoyama).

Nostalgia works! Morning Musume’s latest mini-album Hatachi no Morning Musume has topped the daily Oricon charts selling over 38,000 units. This puts them at a very large lead against their competitors, with the #2 album selling 9k basically securing their top spot for the week.

The last time Morning Musume achieved a daily #1 with an album release was with their 5th studio album No.5, released in March 2003. This was also their last album to achieve a weekly #1 ranking on Oricon.

Hatachi no Morning Musume was released under the name Morning Musume 20th, honoring the groups 20th anniversary. For promotional material generation 1 members Yuko Nakazawa, Kaori Iida, Aya Ishiguro, Natsumi Abe, and Asuka Fukuda were prominently used, even appearing on the album covers itself and MVs. The album has already outsold the first week sales of the groups last album effort, 15 Thank You, Too released in December 2017.

Wow, I can't believe Momusu wasn't able to get a #1 album since 2003...until TODAY. I'm surprised not even during the days of Reina Tanaka, Hitomi Yoshizawa or Sayumi Michishige they were able to get a #1 album...

Day 2 for Momusu is #3 but they weren't far behind; BRAHMAN was #2 while some game soundtrack was #1; hopefully Momusu gets a #1 release this week!

Maemi 9th February 2018 12:24 PM

^ yeah, they couldn't overthrow AKB48 :D

Bigtop 11th February 2018 07:03 AM

But AKB48 debuted in 2006 and they didn't start racking up #1 until late 2009. I mean, who's been spoiling Momusu before AKB48 came in...? Probably a bit too much to list...

visionfactory 15th February 2018 05:10 AM

I really love Morning Musume old days but I'm not buying this release because of the MM'18 members...

I hope management start pushing Morning Musume OG releases more

XFER 15th February 2018 05:40 AM

I actually don't like (at all) the songs Wings of the Seed and even worse, the Natsumi song. Why does she get one for herself anyway? (besides Mizuki and Sakura singing in that one of course)

You prefer the old girls over the new girls? Why?

visionfactory 18th February 2018 07:01 AM

^To put it simple without Oda the current group can't pull off a live performance

Wow, this is harsh, but it's the truth and reality. (and I agree.)
Isn't Oda like, the only current member who can somewhat carry her tunes decently?

I really love Morning Musume but I'm not even interested to them as a whole anymore, even my favorite at that time (well, it's Mizuki) not as interesting as before, and I found her becoming boring with every release (and updates), plus, her leadership is... idk.

Is the new release (with the OG) good? I actually can click that YouTube button to see and watch, but I'm not sure I will like it so I will just wait for some recommendations.

XFER 21st February 2018 05:28 AM

People tend to put the OG's in an upper position all the time, so as I said, the songs in Hatachi no Morning Musume, featuring them, are not to my liking. However, the new song Gosenfu No Tasuki, sounds like an epic ballad similar to Platinum era.

I think Mizuki (even though she's the most boring member), and to some extent Masaki and Miki, can sing pretty well. Other than Erina and Haruna Ogata, I can see real improvement. For example, Haruna Iikubo no longer ruins the ears, and she has such a pleasant voice now.

... everybody?

Their album sales have always been a mess.
From the 9th to 13th they were in the 10k area, no wonder they took so long between 14th and 15th.

XFER 28th March 2018 03:47 AM

Haruna Ogata announced her graduation at the end of their current tour :(

mellody 9th May 2018 05:54 AM

I know everybody already knows about this, but I just wanna say forget everything about H!P and let Airi slays.

This song screams Amuro Namie so much. The other one DISTANCE and all the radio rips are super promising.

Anyway, I like what UFA has done to promote Airi, this time they do it in the right way, not wasting talent such as Maki Goto in the past (like giving corny songs to her, well...) I really hope she got more attention, this clearly shows her progression from her days in C-ute.

(Also, maybe she deserves her own thread?)
