You know it will surface eventually. Remember the Island Mix of It Was? Sure you do, it's fucking amazing (seriously though, if you don't know it ten get it and make it a goal to listen to it come summer time, especially if you can get your ass out on the lake). That remix originally showed up in a CM for some mu-mo thing and took a while for it to surface but eventually it did. I'm sure avex will bring out the XOXO remix one day. I'm more concerned with that unreleased remix which appeared in the A BEST live tour (was it a fairlyland remix?).

I just shuddered realizing how few copies XOXO must have sold if Terminal only managed 3k.

Oricon numbers isn't the exact sales as they only took a percentage from mu-mo's sale (correct me if I'm wrong). And XOXO was a limited edition release which was sold out. Kinda difficult to estimate but it's a figure that avex had expect for it to be sold out.

I was disappointed with the Terminal Dub mix and the other mix...The wait for an extra single with two remixes that were a disappointing is a let down

I don't think you should expect much from a re-cut single with 2 mixes tbh.

It was the only single I didn't wait stocked up of ayu since I got to know her back in 2003, because it was just a re-cut with 2 mixes.

The song is great but we had it on Colours already. Only great thing about the single is the gorgeous cover, but a picture is not reason enough to be interested or purchase a musical release.

Even if it would be the best song ayu ever released.

Yes!! It does an amazing job of capturing the "laid-back summer chill" atmosphere. One time I fulfilled my dream of being out in the middle of the lake just chilling back in the sun, floating amongst space while listening to this remix and it was a magnificent experience. Music is so much better when the environment evoked within the song matches your surroundings and other senses.

If you can't make it to the beach or something (it doesn't have the same effect if it's a crowded area), throw it on while laying outside enjoying the Rays of the sun. Sit back and escape within the soundscape.

I really wish a video had come out, however simple. The low sales are fine, it's probably been released to appease the few fans that kept hoping for it, but such poor effort for such a BIG song is disheartening.

Thanks for the upload! Maybe they could've included an official HQ track of "It was... (Island Mix)" on the Terminal recut single, lol.

It's a pretty amazing remix. I love tropical remixes, like the waterfowl remix of Key, and ocean view remix of Far away. Even the Tropical version of fairyland on the dvd is super pretty and relaxing. We need more summer remixes.
