Bon Voyage's Taiwan's concert was not Kumi's first concert in Taiwan. She's been interested in Taiwan for years (Twinkle feat. Show Luo?) and even more so now since her husband is half-Taiwanese.
Concerning I'm Not Yours, Jolin was the one who initiated the collab' thing... She wanted a collaboration with Namie since they met in 2012 because she loves what she does.
And Ayu chose one of JJ Lin's compositions because she wants to expand overseas this year, and she wanted someone based in Taiwan to collaborate with ;) JJ Lin is Singaporean by the way, not Taiwanese. It's just that his career is based in Taiwan lol Her stylist Alvin Goh (who is from Singapore too) was the one who introduced JJ Lin to her. He's going to be featured in the MV but they won't sing together, so it's not really a duet.

Kuu and Dream5 met today. Hoping this was for MUSIC FAIR or something! (they already performed on Music Japan a few days ago). That outfit looks perfect for a WOML performance.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I'm not gonna pretend like all this "taiwan interest" (regardless whether or not the interest stared way back) all around the same time Is just a mere coincidence. I think there's more to it than that. In other words, I feel like the 3 to a certain degree immitate eachother ( :( I smell AVEX) . There has been other times where I've seen this. Example Namie's best fiction, ayu' A complete All Singles, then 3 months later kumi's out works & collaboration best.It bothers me when artists in a "mere coincidence" world end up working or releasing similar projects or obvious similar things ( here's when the vocal lessons come in) around the same time. In my eyes and perhaps not in not anyone else's it translates as immitation. ( again I smell avex) if that makes any sense. :tired hope it did.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with the CD releases you listed. Basically everything gets a Taiwan press.

@melissalove Sometimes (aka long ago, since they don't anymore) they have the same strategy of releases, but that has changed a long time ago: Ayu doesn't releases that much singles anymore, Namie doesn't takes a lot of time to release albuns anymore, Kumi also doesn't releases more than two or three singles in one year anymore.
It was a normal thing to get a release pattern "4 or 5 albuns / 4 or 5 years = release a compilation", but that also doesn't happen anymore with the three of them, but I can understand what you're saying. It's not like they're copying each other, it's a regular release pattern. :) And btw, Kumi's Out Works was a two disc album with remixes (which this idea was dropped before the release), and was a compilation of songs that aren't from her discography, so yeah, it's not the same of BEST FICTION or A COMPLETE. :)

About the vocal lessons, they probably always had somebody to help with that. Ayu, Kumi and Namie vocals changed a lot during their careers, but they usually aren't really vocal about taking lessons. Kumi is probably trying to get some hype, like she did during the release of Darling. She said the songs would have a really high note (which wasn't that big deal, btw) so she probably did vocal lessons back then. :)
