Just listened to the album. I probably won't listen again, but from what I heard:

- Winter diary is such a nice song, I really like it .-.
- The new arrangement made Summer diary and Sky high listenable
- WARNING, Sorrows and Last minute sounded really good
- Step by step is probably my favorite
- NO FUTURE and TSMGO still annoying
- In some songs, her vocals sound really low compared to the music :no

Lilly 22nd December 2015 11:45 AM

The classicals arrangements are so good! They actually made Step by step sound more cheerful. Sorrows is finally as epic as it should be, though her voice is a bit low on it. This is her best classical album in years imo. I don't like the pv teaser for winter diary. As somenone already said, it's the 2015 version of virgin road.

Hmm Ayu's tweet says "Winter diary's MV will be made public at 19h". They should've included the word 'preview' in there somewhere. Can't blame AyuAngel. I thought they meant full PV too.

Anyway. Looking forward to seeing the full thing.. someday :laugh

good,AyuAngel just translated the right thing then :P:D

lets see the full MV later, wont put high hope for the plot until I watch the full version, but the preview , I like it, badass Ayu dark Ayu, hell yeah

me not

TheRainbow 22nd December 2015 11:52 AM

Yeah, Sorrows, The GIFT and TSMGO suffer from low vocals.

YukiUsagi 22nd December 2015 11:53 AM

I like the MV, but still don't like this album, never listen again.

indigochild 22nd December 2015 11:55 AM

They realllly should not have chosen TSMGO to have a classical arrangement. It's a freakin mess :no *Delete*

So the PV includes murder and a bank robbery (or is that a jewelry heist?). LOVE IT.

I thought it was just gonna be a PV about Ayu and Shu-ya having fun in Taiwan like Summer diary but I guess not. Who knew the kiss in the rain could lead to murder.

KarenPang 22nd December 2015 12:01 PM

I'm still a bit sore that Story and Shape of love didn't have Classical treatments :x

If not it would have been better but oh well you can't have everything

jiarongisme 22nd December 2015 01:01 PM

Oh my god WARNING's rearrangement is so badass. Why does Out of control sound so positive though lmao. Also, I hate that the vocals are so drowned out. Why is it so soft?!

The chorus of Winter diary kinda reminds me of Sky high for some reason. It's pleasant to listen to I guess.

pimenta 22nd December 2015 01:16 PM

Damn, I love everything :heart
I just love classical albums so much, and this was is really amazing imo!

But I am probably gonna try to edit Sorrows to make the vocals louder later, that's my only problem with the album, the rest if perfect. Even songs I didn't care much about I'm now loving the classical version. I'm kinda glad TSMGO was toned down though, makes it much more listenable.

Winter diary sounds cute and happy and I really like it as well.

yess and it is sooo obvious in TSMGO omg I cant even :headache

should have been replaced by Shape of Love

other than that, Warning is badasssss!! and I may be the few ones who love Sky High in the album and I love it more here hahah . Step by Step, Summer, Last Minute are also good!

The Gift though,still boring :P

TheRainbow 22nd December 2015 01:19 PM

WARNING really is good, great opener.

Surreal17 22nd December 2015 01:35 PM

WARNING - sounds like an adventure/fantasy theme track; Lord of The Rings vibe lol
Step by step - holiday-ish
Sorrows - theatrical, aerial
Last minute - mix style between Sorrows and WARNING
Summer diary - baroque style, makes me think of "montage"
Sky High - cheerful, reminds me of Harry Potter's Great Hall's scenes
NO FUTURE - tango/baroque vibes (am I the only one who hears this?), cirque-like-style
Out of Control - I can't remember it; it was kinda calm?
The GIFT - ethereal prologue and epilogue of the song
The Show Must Go On - that cello/violin/strings bridge is amazing

oaristos 22nd December 2015 01:40 PM

The teaser looks very promising, I can't wait to watch the full PV!

ayumi_ed 22nd December 2015 02:17 PM

the new clip is a "teaser movie"...would the actual MV be somehow different?? anyway the song and the "teaser movie" are both satisfactory ;)

JesA 22nd December 2015 02:24 PM

I'm absolutely blown away by this! The arrangements are grandiose, colorful, and absolutely beautiful.

Last Minute is easily the standout. I was pretty impressed with Warning, too! I was afraid the badassery of the song would clash with the arrangement, but they really upped the epic factor for the classical arrangements.

This did exactly what I was hoping for: I wanted a new breath of life injected into Ayu's recent discography that hasn't quite felt super inspired to me. And that's what I got. I wanted a reason to love these songs, and now I do :)

I do worry that I'll never listen to the original mix of Last Minute now, lol. Those background vocals were horrendous, and the classical mix took them out. BLESS THE ARRANGER <3

Also: If you guys are having trouble with the vocals being low, you can always edit the EQ in your music player. And if you're listening from an Iphone or IPod, there's a vocal booster setting in the EQ ;)
