^ If I'm not mistaking, hitomi used to be quite popular back in her earlier days. Well, not so much with her debut single. But she became more popular when CANDY GIRL was released I think. hitomi was never as popular as Namie, Ayu or Ami back then though. She still managed to sell pretty well though! And her albums are either #1, #2 or #3. Except for "LOVE CONCENT". I think she was quite a sex symbol in Japan too.
