last year the theme was plaid, this year its pink

the stage is the same as last years with a centre circle thing that rises up like the one in arena tour 2005

the sets mostly pink and white

costume: first it was a chinese theme, with red and bright yellow, and the dancers were wearing their costumes from the GREEN PV
(first it looked like she had a sling on, but it was just her costume)

then i think they changed into shiny costumes but it might be later

the slow songs were just shuya and ayu in white winter coats, then ayu took her coat off and had a white dress on

i might be getting costumes mixed up so......sorry

then Who... ayu had i dont know how to describe it...like multi coloured tights?? and the dancers had on track suits and they sat behind ayu on the stairs as she sung who...

the next costume was like her old days, bright coloured. it was a bright pink with i think army pants. then the mirrorcle world pirate/captain costumes

then the usual encore oufits, except ayu had a different shirt than everyone else, hers was sleevless

my favourite ones would be the bright pink with army pants, and the GREEN ones

Thanks SO MUCH :)
Great info, really, I know how hard is to remember those details having seen the show just once in the middle of a crowd and with the emotion of the moment
So probably most costumes are recycled, the first one pretty vogue DT or AM, then a kawaii possibly, the army & pink like CDL 04-05, the typical encore costume and on...

Anyway, I like the stage ste-up, and better in pink & purple, like during AT 05 opening

immature-fly high. Haha those lucky people who are counting down with ayu this year... It seems like it'll be ayu's best CDL ever. She has come such a long way from her first CDL which only had 12 songs and totally crappy outfits.

hmm, if there was no MC, then the concert only lasted roughly 2 1/2 hours when it was supposed to be 3 1/2. So I'm wondering if we will see something slightly different tonight.

truehappiness 31st December 2008 04:26 AM

Isn't 2 and a half her usual length though for 20 songs or so? I know that the final setlist ended up coming out a bit later than it tends to, plus it includes a lot more songs than usual. Perhaps the MC tonight will make it the length it needs to be since she'll be asking everyone about their resolutions and etc.. right?

LOL awww
it isn't that bad xDD

but yeah.. from MS isn't the best song ^^

mikecavs11 31st December 2008 04:30 AM

probably will see something different, probably will have a longer encore, where each band member will talk bout their new years resolutions and stuff like that

the thing i didnt really get was why Zin has to come out and teach the MY ALL dance at every concert since last years CDL

truehappiness 31st December 2008 04:43 AM

I think the dances are generally taught for a year / year and a half so most fans can know it..

I think this happened with Humming 7/4 and independent. And probably Trauma as well. They'll stop teaching it sooner or later (Humming was the last dance lesson song, and that was a whiiille ago..)

jonneh 31st December 2008 05:01 AM

lol if I ever get to go see her in concert live I'll already know all the dances by heart thanks to watching the dancers/ayu teach them to me over and over again.

Bad Wolf 31st December 2008 05:11 AM

"During Heartplace she took the mic off the stand and sang from her knees."

Ahhhh, like she did during the last performance in.. was it CDL 02 03? I can't remember lol. Either way, I always loved that performance--she was so amazing with just 'simple' things like that, still able to convey the emotion of the song. That's one of the things I liked best about the Limited TA performances, it was simple but still wonderful.

And I think some people are forgetting just how LONG some live versions of these songs can be. They usually have intros or outros, or they're extended for whatever reason, either because Ayu does a band or dancer shout out. So that alone can make a seemingly 2 and a half hour concert into closer to three/three+ hours.

Huaka 31st December 2008 05:13 AM

I think the reason why people enjoyed it so much was because she sang the older songs which people like more than her newer ones.

Bad Wolf 31st December 2008 05:14 AM

Or because some of these songs haven't been heard in a long time/ever and it's nice to see them again...

Blasterion 31st December 2008 05:15 AM

ah soo amazing... speachless :x

hiroshi_ben 31st December 2008 05:34 AM

im happy with the setlist...but this concert seems a bit plain?i mean no special effects etc

Huaka 31st December 2008 05:39 AM

LoL, these mixi people are complaining them people in the back kept singing really loudly during the ballad section and they were pissed off, and they also kept talking on and on. No matter how much the people in charge warned the people to stop, they would still do it, and the goods they bought beforehand outside they would throw the rubbish on the floor. (This is what I said about there was so much rubbish on the floor. Now it's clarified)

dedicatedtoyou 31st December 2008 05:41 AM

I wish we would get the PCDL FILE on 01.01.2009 (*@*)

Totally fine with me. Usually her more stripped down performances are the best ones.

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 31st December 2008 05:48 AM

^ TA live is proof that her simple performances can be the best.

Concert review

My REVIEW:

It was her best concert ever in my opinion, GREEN was an amazing way to open up, especially the dragon dances, and Maro taking centre stage.

When it Will started to play, it did not disappoint and i recalled someone on AHS saying that they hoped Will would be sung :)

Then came the rock songs and they were soooooooooo......whats the word...stunning and i was just speechless, half the time though i was trying the remember the title of the songs

Then came the slow songs, i thought that she was gonna sing Days here, cuz Shuya and her costume were almost like in the video....or something that fits winter. My favourite songs here were Hope and Pain, and Over. I was waiting for Days here, cuz she was taking forever to get accross the stage, haha Then when SCAR was over the quickly walked off the stage and Kaeru was doing her sheet hanging dance thing

After that the songs the gets the crowd going were sung, Unite! really got the crowd going, everyone was doing the fist the the air.

Then came the 10th anniversary video followed by Who...

When Who... was sung next, I wasnt expecting her to sing this, and for a second, I thought to myself. What? the concerts already over??!! I thought this was one of the best performances of Who..., I was singing along to it the entire time, it was really amazing...made me speechless

Trauma was really fun, its my first live ayu concert so i wanted this song to be performed and see the crowd dance to it. and everyone did, and it she forgot her lyrics haha. actually twice. First time she just went like la la la la la and laughed it off and walked across the stage and the part came again and i think she just didnt bother singing it and just went like la la la la la la again and said sorry hahaha it was cool though

Independent was a classic performance, with the dancing and ball throwing. I was so close the catching one that Ryoji threw, it landed two seats beside me. ayu was throwing with her left hand, i guess due to her injury

Everywhere nowhere was sung, but i cant really remember it lol sorry

Mirrorcle world was a great performance, the was the end of the first half, before the encore, so the violin players, dragon dancers, and choir all came out onto the stage and danced. the performance was like the one in a-nation 08

Then came the encore, Days was performed and i was really looking forward to this, it was just a nice performance and For my dear... was great too, i really liked her vocals and when she did the vibrato thing

Then Zin came and taught the MY ALL dance and that was the only talking part of the encore, none of the band members talked except for the keyboarder cuz him and Zin couldnt get the timing right to the song when Zin was teaching

+ was the same as last years, really fun

flower garden - im not a big fan of this song, but it was still fun to see ayu....i think she was rhyming in the middle of it...

Boys and Girls was a great performance, a classic one, ayu sings/yells at the fans, the fans sings/yells back

then MY ALL started playing, and i was like aww its over....? this was an awesome performance. Everyone was dancing to it

Ayu didnt cry once, except a bit during Days, she seemed really happy

She gave a wonderful show, and i really want to go to her concert again.

I was sitting on the side, in the 5th row, so i was pretty close and could see pretty clearly

Thanks for the review. It was buried deep in the 12th page, but worth looking for.

jimex289 31st December 2008 05:54 AM

Bah I really envy everyone who got to go.

truehappiness 31st December 2008 05:55 AM

I have a link to it in the first post under "Links" if you want to easily find stuff like that..

I'm pretty satisfied with this. I think we'll probably be quite impressed with the concert when we see it in a week or so (or even less)~ I'll be on the look out on Share!
