I used to hate alot of songs on Next Level but in the past couple months I've really been enjoying them. I'm kind of obsessed with Disco-Munication xD like...I've listened to it 50+ times hahaha. Also, I'm discovering alot of her older songs that I have never heard before like kanariya, HONEY, ANGELS SONG, Voyage, Vogue, WHATEVER, STEP you, and alot of other songs hahaa (I've been a fan for about 2 years so I havn't hear many of her older songs lol).

So I guess the wait is not killing me like everyone else since I'm content listening to her older stuff, BALLAD, and some Next Level stuff =] but I'm still really excited for her new album and I'm very interested to see whats going to be on there. So far I like Microphone from the little piece I heard on the Honda Commercial.

i'm hoping that since the last single had two ballads it means that sunset will be left off the album.
Hm, I think I would rather have more ballads than usual this time around considering that her last few albums have been very ballad-light...

i would rather have a few more ballads too, but i'd sacrifice one if it meant not having to put both sunrise and sunset on the album.

sunset is my favorite of the two though, but i doubt she'd pick it over sunrise.

truehappiness 12th February 2010 03:47 AM

Sunrise and Sunset are like... inseparable for Ayu, apparently.

For her to split them apart, she would have to go against her word from interviews and such, which I doubt would happen. It'd be neat if she combined the two songs into some sort of Sunrise/Sunset mashup-ish thing, but I don't really know how that'd be possible... would she call it Sun -something- ~LOVE is ALL~ and have Sunrise somehow lead into Sunset? Or incorporate Sunset's lyrics into Sunrise or vice versa? I have thought about this while going to bed in the past, haha.

I hope so too, but its only because there so similar in sound even though the lyrics are different and tempo etc. I would feel like the one song got put on there twice

amorphose 12th February 2010 03:51 AM

I'm not saying what Kuu does Ayu must do... but did anyone mention the Yume no Uta / Futari de... thing? it was kind of the same concept as Sunrise / Sunset and only Yume no Uta was on Kuu's following album, right?

freedreamer 12th February 2010 03:53 AM

I think RED LINE couldddd be a hidden track. But then again, like GRACE said, TA has expanded..A WORLD IS ONE...why wouldn't she put it in and yes, RED LINE is definitely the new MY ALL.

AAA kind of had a similar project going and only the version with everyone singing on it got into the album. [All 3 tracks had the same arrangement and composition with different lyrics and singers]

With Ayu, she made them into completely different arrangements/genres, so I don't know what she'll do.

Tom Punks 12th February 2010 03:56 AM

I hope there isn't more than like one new ballad, because the album will probably only have 10 full songs, and there's already 3 ballads released. More ballads would just feel like overkill, especially because I'm not feeling her ballads this time around. :/

sunset for the verses, sunrise for the chorus.

they'd have to do some tweaking and stuff, but thats how i see it.

I personally would welcome an album as long as MY STORY with as many ballads, haha. Moments, CAROLS, the ~neo-trilogy~, walking proud... (The Japanese did love it...) Even if it does only end up with 10 new tracks, I think ballads -> better. Most people always hate the MY ALL / EnergizE-y sections of albums anyway.

+1 Too many ballads is a bad thing. I want variety not A BALLADS 2

MY STORY is my favorite album, so I wouldn't mind/would love if she made an album that long with that many ballads again, as long as they were good ballads. Like I said, I'm not really all that into the ballads this time around... I like them all (except for Sunset), but I'm not like crazy about them or anything. Though I guess I would prefer a nice ballad over another MY ALL/RED LINE/Replace type song. :yes

Or really... I guess I don't care what she does as long as it doesn't sound like NEXT LEVEL.

Ballad count starting with MY STORY:
MY STORY - 7 ballads, 8 if you count Replace (out of 17 tracks)
(miss)understood - 4 ballads, 5 if you count criminal (out of 16 tracks)
Secret - 4 ballads (out of 14 tracks)
GUILTY - 3 ballads (out of 14 tracks)
NEXT LEVEL - 3 ballads (out of 14 tracks)
New album - 3 ballads and counting

I'm honestly hoping for more than the usual amount, haha. She'll probably do ONE album ballad like on NEXT LEVEL...

AyUta 12th February 2010 04:41 AM

Maybe the album will be another "dark" album, like Guilty?

If anything I want a haunting ballad, something simple and chilling and depressing as ****.

because we already have two epic ballads and a pretty ballad.

Picaflor 7/4 12th February 2010 04:49 AM

a little random but her green/days single imo didn't fit the NL feel at all. I think it would have blended in better with this new album with s/s and yw/b. even her mw single probably would have done well with these singles we have now.

I only care about how many ballads if they end up being amazing.
Misia - Just ballade, lol, probably not though...

murasakinohana 12th February 2010 09:01 AM

Why do I have this nagging feeling that the new album will be entitled: Microphone... :think

Like criminal and GUILTY? :luv2

I will never get the dislike for these songs, they are hauntingly beautiful!

Hm, there's a very tiny chance, but NEXT LEVEL seemed like a once-in-a-blue-moon thing where the Panasonic CM song was also the title track of the album AND it got a PV. (which no other album title track that was present on an album has gotten. RAINBOW did, but it was on A BALLADS.)

I guess we'll see what happens when we get the album announcement, but I find it highly unlikely that the album will be titled Microphone.
