KARA will be the MCs for only the show’s opening and ending segments since they must promote in both Korea and Japan. A three month old rookie singer being given the MC position to a famous music program is definitely an exceptional case for both industries.

KARA will be releasing their second Japanese single, “Jumping,” on the 10th, along with a Korean mini-album on the 17th. “Girls Talk” will be released on the 24th. Their Japanese management agency is currently predicting 200,000 in album sales.

Recently, girl groups KARA and AKB48 took selcas together at the ‘2010 Asia Song Festival‘, and now AKB48’s Sato Natsuki demonstrated their friendship even more by exhibiting ‘couple cell phone charms’ made with KARA’s Goo Hara.

Sato Natsuki uploaded a picture onto her blog with the caption, ‘Hara-sshi and Natsuki, matching couple cellphone charms‘. The picture of the ‘couple cell phone charms’ shows Hara’s ‘H’ and Natsuki’s ‘N’ branded on a cell phone strap.

Sato Natsuki also wrote, ‘I’m very happy! My friend is so pretty. I wrote the Korean word for ‘friend’ phonetically in Japanese. I will study Korean even harder!”

The two groups are friendly rivals in the Japanese music industry, and both have been receiving a lot of attention in the media. During the ‘2010 Asia Song Festival’, a lot of media members from Japan came to Korea to cover the two groups.

^^ It's pretty funny they wrote "Baby come back" in katakana.

Other than that, the performance had some decent moments, but it was a pretty standard KARA perf (aka underwhelming). They're easily one of my absolute favorite girl groups, but I just don't think they sing well live at all :(

The Japanese covers are good and they're cute, but they don't even compare to this one. It's easily their best cover yet. I'm DEFINITELY buying the Korean mini after seeing that the artwork's gonna be this style.
