@jbrat2219: Preach it sistah. Let your voice be heard gurlfran <3

I'm so sad there's no DAISHI DANCE remix on the album...his HEAVEN remix is wonderful, and he's one of my favorite producers/remixers. He could have done HANABI or Together When... some real magic <3

TeamAyu2004 15th March 2011 03:41 AM

HANABI isn't being remixed is it??
Man I wish it was...

Not to be rude, but I'm sick of people who obviously weren't even around for this telling us what really happened. Yes, Avex more than likely had the idea for ayu-mi-x 7 already in consideration but it was our collective voices as FANS that made it possible for it to be released now and to include other genres such as trance, acoustic orchestra and eurobeat. These genres haven't been used in a remix album since 2002/2003 so there was no reason to suspect that they would be included in the next remix series unless we ASKED. And so we did and it happened. STOP TRYING TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM US.

Wow please calm down "Not to be rude, but I'm sick of people who..." wow... people are just expressing their opinions, I was around at the time but I still don't think we brought on the entire idea, I think we just pushed it faster

No matter whether the fans enticed it or not, it got released, be happy.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 15th March 2011 04:14 AM

just wanted to state that house is not something new for ayu, nor is this the first house release.

the ayu-mi-x series is BASED on house. I mean...the only reason they're titling it "ayu-mi-x 7 HOUSE" is because with trance, eurobeat, and acoustic orchestra, they had to title this one...even though it's not all house.

There are probably going to be a few typical sounding club remixes on the HOUSE side (like the jonathan peters and hex hector remixes). So...yeah.

FYI, it's not really an opinion when it comes off all "matter of fact". Especially when it's from someone who really doesn't know anything about the situation at all. It's a little ignorant.

I feel like unless you were actively on the forum in the days when ayu trance 4 was initially announced, you don't really get it. :/

PS off topic but your font is overbearing, annoying, and unnecessary. since you seem to be all about opinions. :)

TeamAyu2004 15th March 2011 04:27 AM

^ do you think the other ayu-mi-x albums have been house??..

You know all this is so confusing, I dont think I know the difference between on the different types of the dance genre.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 15th March 2011 04:31 AM

^^I'd say there are a few different genres within ayu-mi-x (excluding trance, eurobeat, and acoustic orchestra).

I don't know too much myself, but there are genres like dubstep (which I despise lol) and just general dance music (which may be sub divided into different categories, but I don't know them. House is generally defined as any kind of electronic dance music).

But yes...ayu has many house remixes featured on previous ayu-mi-x albums.

I kind of had the feeling "ayu-mi-x 7 HOUSE" was just the name and not necessarily the genre like it is with the other albums. I mean it can't really be the only one without a name, can it? xD;

Pieces_of_SEVEN 15th March 2011 05:15 AM

^^exactly XD

Umm..no.

ayu-mi-xes in the past have had some house in them, true, but they're also mixed with other genres that have essentially nothing in common with house (drum & bass, electro, dub) other than the fact that they're all seen as types of dance music.

House is characterized by a 4/4 beat which isn't found in the other genres I mentioned above, or techno or trance. It can sometimes be found in techno or electro, which is where the terms tech-house and electro-house come in. All of the genres of electronic music are distinct.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 15th March 2011 05:19 AM

^soo...wikipedia's and dictionary.com's definition of house music is incorrect, but yours is right? lol spare me.

also...you just reiterated what I had already said. previous ayu-mi-x albums were mostly house tracks with some other genres thrown in there as well. I just don't specifically know how to classify them.

i feel the same way...but i think avex did this project in a very short time
so i think djs producer like Daishi Dance and other important artist were busy
or with a large list of project so maybe they can't make a work so fast

you can go to "Jody Den Broeder" and ask him for a remix and he can say: sure..but in 6 months

TeamAyu2004 15th March 2011 05:20 AM

LOL, and it just gets more and more confusing...

I think the HOUSE version is what it is, HOUSE.. i mean with the other ayu-mi-x albums there werent named, but most came with 2 CDs Nonstop and then a second cd with remixes on them...

right, but nonstop or not, those remixes still all have genres...right?
most of which are house. there are so others that i'm not familiar with. :)

Not sure what definition you were reading, dear.

I did kind of repeat what you said, only because I don't think you get the point. It's not just called ayu-mi-x 7 because it's not ayu-mi-x 7. It's specifically the house genre, not a melange. Listen to a house nation album and then listen to an ayu-mi-x. They're not the same.

go jbrat2219 honey show em!!

you guys still arguing about who influenced the remix albums and lmao get a damn life

:yes:yes Agreed, but for the nonstop would you consider it just one genre or a mix of all of them?
