GACKT covers are always out wayyyyyyyy before the release date of the actual song/album. While with Ayu we usualy get it like 2 weaks before the release date...i don't see why this should be a different story *shrugs*

also Earth_maiden, i gotta say this is by far the least negativity on this forum.And it's always been like that, people making oppinions/impressions even before everything is out...it's normal...Tho the negativity level... I am actually surprised how low it is. Also surprised because now i'm one of the negative ones, for the first time in my AHS member life!.....I hope it's the last.....i don't like it....

This is exactly why I've avoided these threads in the past. While I personally don't mind people sharing their opinions (whether it be positive or negative), an overwhelmingly negative response to an album that we haven't even heard a majority of the songs from yet just brings the morale down. Although I don't expect for everyone to only have positive opinions either, I would think that some people would be more willing to give it a chance before automatically assuming that it's going to be bad. As fans (which I assume most of us are being that we are on an Ayumi Hamasaki forum), I understand that we don't have to love everything that she does but I don't think that it's unfair to say that we should have some faith in her to release a quality product, whether it fits our personal tastes or not. For me personally, I'm excited about the album and have a positive outlook on this release but I'm staying neutral for the most part so I don't have any expectations until I hear more songs than we've heard at this point.

haha I don't know if i'll can do it xD. I usually see everything coz when ayu announces things i use to be in vacations,but now i'm studying and i prefer to wait till my vacations (last week of march) to enjoy everything :D

That's what annoys me... I can understand people complaining about an album or single because they don't like the music/covers/arrangement/composer/ayu's nails/etc, but to say they "won't like it" when we have so little to go on just seems so ...dramatic to me. We have one full song, and a live audio performance/CM snippets of one other... how can someone say they won't like this album based on that? I don't get it. :shrug

Some people just amaze me... and the negativity is just... wow.

This album is making me so nervous! At first I didn't expect much, but the fact that we know nothing about it besides two songs (and one we only know the live version and a preview from the CMs) makes me so unsure about this album! And the wait for the covers is killing me @_@'
My expectations are getting higher and higher because of this wait. I'm not sure if that's a good thing though...
But Ayu never disappointed me with a new album before, so I'm actually positive about this one... let's see...

i agree with this so much. i've come to really dislike HBYA, but i'm still excited for the album. just because i hate one song doesn't mean the rest will be bad. like, if you compare Party Queen to HBYA the quality is way different (Party Queen being on a whole other level). so who knows what we'll get. i personally find that the songs on ayu's albums always vary in quality (you get a mixed bag of a few bland/bad, some great, and some mind blowing amazing) so you can't judge a whole album by 1 or 2 songs.

^ hbya is not my thing too, and i pretty disliked Party queen on CM (but love on live) and I am still very positive. You cant judge album only by not-comfirmed tracklist. It's still all we got.

The vibe that a lot of people are giving off is really different compared to say Rock'n'Roll Circus or Love songs and I have no idea why people are being so quick to judge, but the only thing that's different this time around is that we have barely anything to prepare ourselves for the album. I guess the same kind of thing happened with FIVE, but this is a bit worse I think.

Since when did two songs (more like one since we only have one full studio version) and a tracklist/album title determine whether or not someone may or may not like an album? We don't even know what the other TWELVE songs sound like! And as far as I know, having that sort of attitude before listening to an album or just experiencing anything new in general doesn't help at all.

I'd say that the main reason why I'm quick to judge is because I have nothing else to come with. For this new album, all we got it hbya and Party queen. Now, since we haven't had any singles, nor any music clips I judge the album from the only two songs I have. I'm not saying those two songs will represent the rest of the album. I'm just saying that I don't like those two songs. That's all I have to come with so far.

Now I'm waiting for covers and previews and I can start to react/love/judge the new album even more.

And last. I see no wrong to have low expectations. Because then the album only can get better, not worse. ;P

I just checked and the FIVE covers were out EXACTLY(on the day) 4 weeks before the release...come on covers!!!

I have a feeling it'll be 3 weeks to the day this time around since they have a lot more stuff they want to reveal at once compared to when FIVE came out. So maybe on the 29th?

Sounds like me. I loved FIVE, I loved GUILTY, NL and RnRC. I loved progress PV...yet all those things seem rather hated by fans to me.
Yet I hated PCDL0809 and people went crazy over that.
