Ayu just needs to fire whoever is in charge of her vis comm stuff. Everything about this--the actual logo, the possibility that a fan might not be compensated for his/her work--is really awful. It's like, after years of being stuck in a downward spiral, her visual brand has finally hit the nadir of cumulative awfulness.

Yeah the fan opened a topic on baidu: some people told him that they stole his work and so on and the fan answered that he was just really happy and that he didn't want to "blackmail" anyone.

Ayu and her team were inspired by what a fan did, why would that -ever- be a bad thing? that means they actual care about what fans do.

i'd be elated if Ayu were to use something or be inspired by something I made (not that I make things haha). They acknowledged that they were inspired, the fan who made it is ok with it.

I guess people in here are way too worried about people giving them credit for their works, so they freak out with things such as this one lol

The logo is ayu's and there are thousands of fanwork made from it, she might as well ban people from even using it, but things don't work like that.

And who knows, maybe they payed him, or maybe they talked to him and asked him not to tell, we don't know what happens behind, and omg how many other artists have used fanwork before? Are you guys serious? This happens all the time.

You should at least see the positive side, they might use your own fanwork someday, they are opening to new options and that's great.

And it's just a logo, but I guess that's all it takes to shake fandom and life decisions in this forum :laugh Another day another drama.

I quite like this logo but compared to the one we have in the top 10 ranking songs this one looks a bit cheap :/ It would be better with gold in it !

I think it's fitting really; Ayu has continued her career this far because of her fans, so a fan inspired art-work is appropriate/a homage to those people that allowed her to live her dream. :heart

Where did avex actually acknowledge that they used that fan's art for the logo, though? I think that's the whole problem--it's blatantly ripped off, with no mention of the original artist whatsoever (at least, from where I'm sitting).
