That song...:thud

The shoot...:luv2

"Ballerina" already sounds better than anything she's released in years. It's complextro with a hint of house genre influence.

NintendoHTF1242 29th August 2013 03:27 PM

Hey guys! I am FINALLY listening to FEEL.

Lady Gaga who? Katy Perry who? Ariana Grande who?

Like; this is legit the greatest thing I have EVER listened to. What the fuck. Purchasing this shit with my Kana Nishino stuff tbh this is too good to not purchase. Namie is slaying me right now. Keep it up girl. Keep slaying all those basics out there.

Heaven, Hands On Me, La La La, Poison, and Stardust In My Eyes are so amazing omg. Especially Stardust. So freaking beautiful.

inspire_rmx 29th August 2013 05:17 PM

The shoot and the song totally took my breath away! It's freaking AMAZING the new song!! This girl can do no wrong

ILoveGeniuses 29th August 2013 05:45 PM

I'm really wondering when she'll do something with these new songs. Does seem weird the way she's done this... I wonder what shes planning? New compilation or best album maybe?

Also, changing subject a bit, but Has she EVER released a calendar in her entire career? I've always wanted to own one.

BlackSilence 29th August 2013 10:19 PM

^she did have a calendar as far as i remember...

She did have some calendars in the past, but they were part of her tour goods

I love how ever since she founded Dimension Point everything's actually been on point, girl is not playing.

pheonixflame15 29th August 2013 11:56 PM

I meant joined, opened or whatever, i really can't remember the right term for it :P I just meant that it's her own label and that she's been on point ever since she joined.

I just finished a cover for Ballerina btw, inspired by the mirrored & abstract style of the Vogue x Gucci cm if anyone needs something for iTunes.

This is BEAUTIFUL.

I remember reading that Dimension Point is gonna be a label led by Namie and she would be the mentor for the artists that joins the label, but there would only be a few joining. It's gonna be a premium label so to speak. :yes

i personally still find everything very very mainstream, i'm sure she could have done better than going with the flow, but Namie seems to be always playing safe, apart from a few songs that actually stand out. I can't say i don't like all that stuff, i do, tho it's a very safe card from her side. But then again it's all about money, these days, so i can't blame her for going with what sells at the moment. *shrugs* However i am actually curious about Balerina.

and damn i really really wanna get all those VOGUE shots, I mean ALL with the ones that were never in the magazine lol need to rob VOGUE Japan office or their photographer, or something xD

I can definitely see where you're coming from, it is very mainstream and pretty much what everyone else is doing right now. But she's doing it so convincingly, it doesn't sound cheap or feel sell out. I always loved Namie's more electronic driven songs (Past<Future is her best album imo) but she's really embracing the genre right now and it fits her surprisingly perfect, it's so easy to sound tacky and try-hard when you do this kind of music considering how long it's been mainstream now, but she sounds great and likes she's genuinely having fun. I've said it before but her music right now is really of international quality, I could see a lot of songs from FEEL and now Ballerina being a hit in the US or Europe. And i guess the Engrish just do something to me, i've never felt closer to her before as an artist. I'm in herbun and it's no supplies.

And here's the Vogue scans, they are in pretty workable quality i'd say! (But i think you've already seen them xD) AND YES I KNOW! The moment i saw the Vogue/Gucci video and noticed the Adobe Lightroom screen with all the other pictures i just thought, and you're keeping all those from us!? NOT OKAY

Can't believe how perfect the shoot is. She's such a great model.

All the other style mags in Japan need to take notes. Fashion slays all.

^ Yay thank you!

The shots are gorgeous. I just wished they stuck with her facing away from the camera throughout.
