^Black Cherry is the best j-pop album ever made imo. It's just perfect. All songs are defining my taste of music so well that it amazes me even today. :D

Well..everybody has its own taste :yes...I respect your opinion..I like a few songs from that album but I simply do not resonate with it.

I can't even go there for many reasons. Hikki is like my #3 favorite all time J-Pop artist so I can't compare them. It does feel weird too. :D

She's not going to retire...Kenji encouraged her to continue as Koda Kumi or else JAPONESQUE would have been the last thing we have from her!

I think she's just continuing with the French titles for her album~

Wasn't there some talk about her KODA KUMI WORLD project on her official site before Summer Trip was released? I think Bon Voyage just means her music is going around world - style of music that's unique to different countries/areas. So it's kinda like a departure from JAPONESQUE. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Kuu was in the studio again today, working on production on the album.
Seems like she's doing all the work for the album now didn't have any time while touring so much.
Guess the album is also the reason, that she isn't on any year end shows.

Exactly. So it's not like there wasn't a possibility of quitting. She even said herself that it was a thought and a possibility after she had the child. But that being said, I don't see it happening. She could however, always change her mind.
