jiarongisme 17th April 2014 03:13 PM

Dreaming Now! is great. It's kinda similar to IS THIS TRAP? in terms of the structure but it's still really great. :yes

Koda Kumi Presents: Introludes ~Extended & Lovers~ (or something like that)

01. Black Cherry
02. Trick
03. Teaser
04. Japonesque (Introduction + Interlude)
05. Get it On
06. Driving Hit's 6
07. Bon Voyage
08. Driving Hit's 5
09. Dejavu (Prologue + Interlude)

I'd buy it.

Am I the only one who thinks that Step Into My World does not make justice to Introduction to TRICK?

Same here. Though I do love both songs.

I hated intro to trick. Step into my world improved on it soooooo much but as mentioned it's stop repetitive.

marty 17th April 2014 10:28 PM

I love Dreaming Now!. I think I love it so much because of the PV too. I was just hypnotized by that elbow shaking dance.
I kinda prefer Step Into My World to the TRICK intro, but I think it's because Step Into My World is a full song, 'cause I find INTRODUCTION FOR TRICK extremely fierce and cool too. Not too bothered by repetitions. Actually, I usually like them, they set a good, harmonic rhythm.

You sure do love having unpopular opinions. Step Into My World is a sad excuse for a song; while INTRODUCTION FOR TRICK was flawless.

Intro To Trick was so annoying because it's literally like the same 4 musical bars over and over - and the first 3 bars are the same bar repeated three times in a row, as far as composition goes. I loved how the progressed from that melody with Step Into My World, but they still managed to walk themselves straight into a corner and it once again failed due to repetitiveness. I also preferred the more aggressive arrangement they went with in Step Into My World. Intro To Tricks arrangement sounded like something they dug out of a sample pack.

I don't like the PV at all, but it's true, the dancing is cool.

I quote myself again: I agree. 85% of Zeke's post are about how he doesn't like something or he doesn't agree with something... or just complaining about things.

In case you guys forget about it you can always read it on Zeke's signature. He made us a favor to remind us anytime how he loves to have different opinions.

Well, bars are usually more repetitive in songs than you'd think, it's just that usually people are singing over top of them and you don't notice. trick is a one minute intro that's not exactly a complex song and when they extended it for the tour they probably knew they weren't going to release a studio version of it (especially since it only has one verse and no bridge) so they didn't bother changing it around. Which is probably why they made SIMW. It was a way to make a more complex "studio quality" song without rehashing something already released. Honestly, if I was making a one minute song (personally I feel like the actual song doesn't start till 24 seconds in), I really wouldn't bother with complexity or repetitiveness. :P

Also if you want to talk about something being repetitive. The phrase "step into my world" is sung/said/spoken 39 times throughout the song which is exactly 3 minutes long. That averages out to the phrase being said once every 4.6 seconds. :dead2

New perfume to be released!

Nude Note

Developed out of the most popular Kuu perfume Love Note, it's a fresh and light perfume made out of blossom and raspberry. It has a aqua blue transparent colour. Just like the open sea.

Her perfumes seem to do well. :)
A new contactlense colour is coming in July as well.

Well this IS a discussion board. Where we come to discuss opinions... :rolleyes
Which most of the time people can't even point out exactly why they like a song, elaborate, or shed new light into. It's just "I like it"; at least I have enough awareness to pinpoint the reasons why I dislike (or highly appreciate) certain materials. When listening to music I'm very attentive, and pull apart each layer and really dissect the different elements that went into the creation of the sound, and if I like or dislike something, I make it my mission to figure out exactly what it is that is making me come to such a conclusion.

Regarding Steps repetitiveness, I did mention that was it's downfall. However the improvements that were made made to the track in arrangement choices and progression of melody are much more enjoyable. I no longer feel like I'm falling down a rabbit hole when listening to it (which probably was their intention but regardless, it's not a feeling that I enjoy).

Also, regarding making a quality intro (not wasting time to make it sound perfect when it's so short), see INTRODUCTION to Black Cherry to have that argument squashed. That's how you open an album (and THAT's an intro whose extended version sucked).

this was on her facebook earlier today too :)
It's nice to see a list of notes for the perfume! I feel like all of the other perfumes have released without any notes listed!! How are we supposed to imagine what it smells like without that information? hahaha

Anyway, the notes are listed as follows:
nude note (pure fruity note)
top: blossom, raspberry
middle: rose, myuge (?)
heart: white musk, watery

And rollerballs and solid versions are being released soon too! That means we could possibly have them shipped outside of Japan! :D

mi|kshake 18th April 2014 06:49 PM

The perfume sounds like it will smell lovely! Hopefully it is available to ship outside of Japan.

do it again 18th April 2014 08:38 PM

what a cute photo!!

marty 18th April 2014 11:14 PM

I'm glad I don't live in Japan: I would probably do something idiotic like buying all my favourite singers perfume or stuff. (I actually had to really restrain myself to buy Taylor Swift one, lol)
That promo pic is so adorable! Cuteness Queen Kuu! <3

tokyoxjapanxfan 19th April 2014 01:31 AM

That's such a cute pic!

I remember smelling (and liking) Love Note, but the other one was not my cup of tea. But this one sounds really nice :).
