She said it's her least favorite album because it used a lot of "fake voices", I mean, lots of backing vocals that sometimes muffled her voice. It was around the time she was promoting Atlantis Princess that her manager died in a car accident. Because of that she stopped all the Atlantis Princess promos and started singing Tree instead, wearing yellow accessories (the mourning color in Korea), so she associates his death with the album

More recently she said she considers herself being too old to perform Atlantis Princess.

It's interesting to note that she never includes the song in her setlist, even though it's one of her most famous songs in Korea

I'm pretty sure Merikuri is ONE OF the most loved xmas songs in Japan, so it makes sense for her to flog it when she can. If you've ever visited Japan I think you'll agree it's a very consumerist market.

メリクリ ~ver. 2015~ would be more acceptable than Meri Kuri (Self-Cover)

Two new tracks is enough for me, she can add a self-cover and it's smart marketing IMO.
