whoa her verses are PERFECT!!! the ending notes in the chorus are kinda pitchy but given all the emotions, its understandable. The song itself conveys so much and through this live and ayu's voice, I hear that genuineness from her. It's so good!

Coelacanth 23rd September 2015 02:58 PM

excellent performance. so proud of her.

holy_arrow 23rd September 2015 03:10 PM

Yes the song is very emotional in the perfect vocal for her. So proud of Ayu too.
Her outfit is go godness and the dancers helped her make this performance gorgeous ...

Btw, her appearance in some scenes is quite old while Koda Kumi is very pretty.

Where are Licco and Emi today ?

And that's why I love a song is born so much, she puts so much emotion into that song's performances :heart

I don't like her makeup though, too much pink blush, it doesn't fit her quite well anymore...

Anna.L 23rd September 2015 03:32 PM

Her hair its too much 2006

and WHY ALL THIS DANCERS ON THE STAGE? This song ayu can hold by herself

Yoake 23rd September 2015 04:53 PM

She sounded good. Not perfect but I really enjoyed the performance. I think it's important that there were so many dancer. A song is born's message is about harmony and unity and it's stronger like this. If she brought children with her, it would even be stronger

pimenta 23rd September 2015 05:08 PM

I think the dancers were ok because they were mostly symbolic. If they were actually dancing around it would have been way to much people, but the way they performed it worked nicely imo. They weren't necessary, but not a bad addition either.

jiarongisme 23rd September 2015 05:18 PM

When I first saw images of her with the dancers on Facebook, I was like 'oh no, not again...' But it works SO WELL in here. It was a really touching performance. She sounded great too! I also really love this arrangement of the song.

xLuna&1LOVE 23rd September 2015 05:45 PM

Eh, I guess I am the only one who was not moved by this?
Though, well I gotta admit that she did well, considering the vocals from a'nation...

Ayumi Romania 23rd September 2015 06:04 PM

Very nice performance

Delicious n Bold 23rd September 2015 06:13 PM

I forgot how good the lyrics were. I liked the performance, it was really nice!
Also because that stage seemed so small it looked like she brought with her an entire small village.

Corvina 23rd September 2015 06:16 PM

The "mou ichido..." part is really screechy both times, in the middle and at the end. But the rest sounds nice.
And even though I still think those are much to much dancers, I can live with them here.

NintendoHTF1242 23rd September 2015 06:18 PM

She sounded horrible when she had to go for those higher notes. But oh my god the arrangement is SO BEAUTIFIL asdfghjkl;

ExodusUK 23rd September 2015 07:24 PM

I think she was trying to out do AKB48 by having so many people also on stage.

Coelacanth 23rd September 2015 07:24 PM

I think it's really interesting that people use "screechy" pejoratively so much at this forum. You guys do realize you listen to J-pop, right? lol

Rajma 23rd September 2015 09:03 PM

I liked it a lot <3
Anyone know what "she is wearing"?

Diego-kun 23rd September 2015 09:40 PM

It was a really nice performance. I was impressed because she sounded quite good during the whole song! The dancers were okay although I think a smaller crew would have been better.

What struck me the most is how old Ayu looked when the camera zoomed her... She also looked tired, maybe it is just because of the upcoming tour's rehearsals

j0tas 23rd September 2015 09:41 PM

Nice performance but not her best imo. She looked a bit exhausted in high notes. Anyway, I hope japanese people liked it.

stepYOU1234 23rd September 2015 11:06 PM

Pretty good performance for a song like A Song is born. Wasn't expecting vocal perfection from it! I think it was kind of a good choice. Old classic Ayu but not an over-performed song, poignant and emotional which is what made her popular in the first place.

I kind of wish she had been in a slightly different colour to the dancers, such as a very pale blue or pink so she stood out a bit more but otherwise the dancers didn't bother me as they were relevant to the theme of the song.

To me she looks different because she didn't have eyeliner on her lower lash line. Might sound small but it can make a big difference. Also, heavier blusher than usual. She still looks beautiful, but I think that may be why she looks different.

ayumisrael 23rd September 2015 11:38 PM

I only thought that she strained in the choruses (the later ones were better than the first) but she was mostly ok and the verses were great.

I hope she rests well before the TA tour she rehearse and work like crazy.

It was so touching though!
