wow that pic is so pretty.
it seems breakdown will have a PV? and that pic is taken from one of the scenes.

Aderianu 18th May 2016 05:38 PM

I think this picture from the same photoshoots she posted recently - Numero / tour goods

That's what I hope too, but I've learnt not to expect any addition from what has been officially announced.

BlackSilence 18th May 2016 07:14 PM

i am 100% sure it's an outtake from the Numero photoshoot with a filter on it.

Yeah people need to stop building up the possibility that she's going to go all elaborate and shoot some grandly themed cover. It's highly unlikely and I think we should be prepared for the case that Numero, or something like it, is a possibility. If they wanted to be grandeur about it they would've had the whole package available when she dropped the album online. The logic that she hasn't had time for a proper shoot yet and therefore it will be a grand shoot is a far-fetched idea to me.

Yumsushi 18th May 2016 07:56 PM

As nice as it would be to have a beautiful meaningful cover, I am more interested in the PVs matching the grandeur of the songs. Or rather the Numero shoot is a thousand times better than that horrible sixxxxx shoot so that image most of us have been using is perfect.

truehappiness 18th May 2016 09:34 PM

I liked the sixxxxxx shoot... the covers anyway. The inner booklet stuff was a bit iffy.

Just saying though, if she had already finished everything, we would have gotten covers and PVs when the album dropped, so why keep it all a mystery up till now and beyond?

With that said, I am not expecting much for covers or PVs, but it would be nice to get something a bit different. And even if we did get this simple shoot, it's fierce as hell so I don't mind either way. Interview for Numero was done March 31st and the shoot probably followed shortly after if not on the same day. IF we get this shoot as the main M(A)DE IN JAPAN shoot, why would they not have released it alongside media for the press release when it was done more than a month prior with all the tour goods images floating around as well? We're getting PAMPHLET previews, I think, which is why she's wearing the same thing in everything as the pamphlet images. I don't know about you, but I swear we have gotten pamphlets that were not the same as the album art at all.

Thanks for posting that. ^^ Do you have like an archive of Ayu things? lol

It's in my brain usually, lol.

BlackSilence 18th May 2016 10:37 PM

i'm always expecting for concept but i never get my hopes up, really. That's one thing i gave up on with Ayu. Japan in general isn't very much into concepts. And talking about Hamasaki, you can count the covers on 2 hands from the amount she had, how many of them actually had concepts, the stuff that doesn't look like a beauty shot or a mag photoshoot with props from a first glance. SO really.

And @Zeke, you really don't need to go all out and about, and spend 1mln on a set or travel somewhere to get a cover with full impact. They just need to be cleaver. Simple stuff can be really effective if done right. Though It happens very rarely in j-pop industry i have to say.

hidekirby 19th May 2016 12:13 AM

I think we can almost be sure the covers will be in the same vein.
Simple, natural etc.
Her photoshoots and promo pictures almost always reflect the image of the album they are promoting, the scenery it depicts.

truehappiness 19th May 2016 12:33 AM

I want to say that since we're getting Japanese-y style bonus goods, I wonder if they'll try to incorporate that somehow into the album art. Simple and elegant yet very Japanese.

tokyoxjapanxfan 19th May 2016 12:43 AM

I just don't want another Decision video.
I would be so disappointed lol

Sixxxxxx really saw her videos moving into a better direction so that gives me hope.
Even Winter Diary's video looks good. The song itself is the questionable part lol

I know but even the chances of that are slim, as you said it rarely happen in J-pop. I mean half the time avex sinks all this money into Ayu traveling somewhere to shoot something or even to record and it always turns out to be a huge waste of money, imo. They could stretch those dollars further if they just stayed within the confines of Japan or even Tokyo and focused on quality.

truehappiness 19th May 2016 01:04 AM

But we know Ayu and Ayu doesn't really like doing that. She would always rather go elsewhere to get the locale and then not really use it to its fullest at least since she did uraayu. Alas, such is being an Ayu fan, and really it doesn't matter that much anyway. A lot of the shoots end up becoming iconic for a variety of reasons. Sunrise/Sunset, some calendars, etc.

And I think Winter diary is a sweet song, lol. Not a masterpiece but it's something she never really had in her discography till now.

Exactly. I know its pretty boring for such an amazing song but compared to that embarrassing PVs for Angel r XO its a masterpiece.

truehappiness 19th May 2016 04:00 AM

Angel isn't horrible but Lelio and XOXO are... hm.. did they have a budget of 200yen?

I'm sure the budget was like, a half eaten sandwich and an RC Cola.

Yumsushi 19th May 2016 05:50 AM

I mean to each his own and all but Im amazed you think Lelio is worst that Angel. I mean Lelio was halfassed but Angel was an embarrassing joke shot in some shady ally. I would consider Lelio a masterpiece compared to Angel. The only way I think Ayu approved it is that she must've been high on said half eaten sandwich and rc cola

truehappiness 19th May 2016 06:01 AM

Angel at least kinda looked like they tried a teeny bit but ultimately it was kinda lame overall.

That era needed better PVs. Not XOXO and not Lelio. Terminal and Pray.

Agree. Angel PV was so embarrassing. I only watched it once and never want to watch it again in my life.
