From what I know , some artistes tend to personally announce important announcements during the MC of their tours/concerts and/or at the end before the news eventually get posted on their official site

Most probably it's the DVD release info.
Though why making such a fuss about it out of the blue.
Hoping for new single or album of course, haha.
Most Japanese fans seem to expect a new song or an album announcement from the comments I've read.

Yeah it's rare for artistes to include countdown timers on their websites . The only other artiste that did it a few years ago was NEWS (when they were making their comeback as a quartet)

And frankly Marika I wouldn't be surprised if it's the DVD/Blu-ray release announcement for KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2016 ~Best Single Collection~ although I wouldn't mind a ridiculous over the top release , for once

well her latest (and millionth) FC post about being in the studio (for f...'s sake) states that we get news soon...
so i guess it's for her 60th Single after she hinted it since the start of the tour lol
but who knows, wouldnt be surprised if it's an album as well..
i doubt that we have a countdown for just a LIVE DVD alone.

but the countdown is a bit akward... i mean why setting countdown when we usually have a normal release date anyways?
so i wouldn't be surprised, if we're getting some kind of digital drop or something like that.

Yeah, would be such a wasted opportunity.
Who knows, maybe it's a bundled release, DVD and new single on the same day (her birthday as last concert date or 6th December as debut date would be nice).

Didn't we get a similar countdown before the WOML announcement? Or am I remembering completely incorrectly?

It's not her first coutdown, she had one for 4 TIMES as well. The weird thing is that the countdown is set to "random", and will probably start the regular time tomorrow.

For WOML she had one preview per day until the release, with a new image as well.

For WOML we also had a lyric snippet of the song WOML every day some days before the actual announcement of the album (two or three days or so).

This countdown thingy is a bad thing for my curiousity lol. There isn't words to describe how excited I am~ :heart

Less than 13 hours till the "announcement", the good thing is that I'll go to sleep tonight and when I wake up tomorrow, it will be almost there. haha

Maybe it is the announcement of 60th single and then the 13th original album on octber 13th / her birthday ^^
