And can she take it easy on the claps; sounds like someone just dragged a sample from the bin into the mix and looped it - didn't even bother to add any effects to it.

Idk to me it just sounds like the most basic of basic that anyone can get.

I agree completely but didn't say anything cause they are just snippets :roflmao but I'm not thrilled or excited with any of these previews

kaled kalil 9th February 2017 10:43 AM

Today's songs are Shhh! and Kimi Omoi, and the Kuu team is sleeping because the previews aren't up on facebook.

This was my problem with cup cake. I mean how many times can you ask someone to be your cupcake and the clapping :rolleyes that's original. All these previews sound like cup cakes part 2 to me.

chocopockymaster 9th February 2017 12:05 PM

As excited as I am for the new album, I have no interest in listening to instrumental-only previews...so I'll be withholding judgement until I hear something more complete.

kaled kalil 9th February 2017 12:22 PM

Where is the "announcement"? She said she was really excited for today and nothing happened. haha

Corvina 9th February 2017 12:30 PM

@Zeke, Akutenshi and Luck16:
A pity you don't like the outside previews. Guess you're glad there's still inside?
Btw you should never listen to Minimal music then, cause that's the genre minimalistic produced music is called.

Another promotion was announced:
On 14th February there will be a Live broadcast of J-Wave Groove Line in the Sound Museum in Tokyo. Entrance is free. Kumi is scheduled to appear 6 pm Japanese time.

Gubsi 9th February 2017 12:50 PM

lol it's funny how people think less production equals a bad song or is made in 2 minutes...
music is just music... enjoy it or don't listen

but ok from someone praising Ayu's Days production like heavens i don't really except some open minded and good opinion about music lmao

anyways i hoped she would keep the Shhh!/君思い previews for the last day (sunday)
really excited about how Ultraviolet will sound like?!

off topic, but i wish J-Pop would release more vinyls alongside CD's...

I guess.
If Shhh! is an indication of anything in Outside, I really won't like it.
But I'll hold my thoughts until I hear the full thing, maybe she will surprise me since I love Cupcake

Corvina 9th February 2017 01:48 PM

A thought, that just crossed my mind.
Her official site did call outside to include avantgarde songs. And something like Minimal Music e.g.is officially considered as art. So maybe there's a relation?

Today in her Line post she thanked everyone taking part in this preview campaign and she says it's very helpful for her to produce the tour right now.
So I guess depending on which side will win, we will maybe get more (old) poppy songs and ballads or more dance tracks? Or even for the execution of theme?
And she ended with "till tomorrow", so we're getting new previews tomorrow.

Akutenshi 9th February 2017 02:19 PM

Oh please lmao. I listen to plenty of music that is minimalist or less produced. There's a significant difference between minimalist/stripped back, and cheap and amateur production. These previews are the latter.

My opinion doesn't need to be agreed with but let's not make random assumptions about me or my music taste.

Marurosu 9th February 2017 02:21 PM

How many songs still don't have a inst preview?

I'm want they to finish that to announce MV list, covers, MV previews or whatever...

W face tour goodies are welcome as well...

PS: BSC tour had a pamphlet or booklet, or anything else? I always love pamphlet shooting and the last I remember (WOML) was the best so far!!!

I actually agree with this wholeheartedly. Everything sounds cheap, outdated, and basic.

That has been a way to describe Kumi's music for a long time, actually.

I feel like that Bangerang song has already been release by her like four or five times.

Calm down, I never made any assumption about your taste as I never said that it is good or bad or anything. Maybe you should read again, cause you're the one being defensive right now. :shrug

kaled kalil 9th February 2017 03:09 PM

Here we go again...

@Corvina It's always the same people complaining about the same thing. Just let it go. :)

---
@Marurosu: These are the missing songs:

01 BRIDGET SONG
02 Bring It On
09 Promise you
10 My fun

01 W FACE
02 Ultraviolet
03 Insane
05 Heartless

BSC had a stamp book, no pamphlet.

KarenPang 9th February 2017 03:33 PM

Honestly I don't understand everytime something negative crops up in Kuu's thread

Last year people were complaining on no new studio album . And this year , people are complaining about different things even though 2 joint albums will be out next month on the same day

Complain for the sake of complaining ? :shrug

Until the day when for some reason Kuu decides to quit making music *touchwood* , maybe all the un-necessary complaining will finally stop ?

And I didn't quote you because I wasn't speaking directly only to you. Maybe you should read again too? :)

thinkingoutloud89 9th February 2017 04:09 PM

so what is the problem people? As Gubsi said, its music, and as kaled said, just let it go.
I don't like everything from the preview, then again these are just 15sec.
Kumi is a pop music artist who ventures into territories on the side-road. If she eery titles herself a "minimal"-artist, complain about it not being that. And as for the rest, just because it is Kumi she does not have to please you and the other way around, you are not obliged to love it. If you don't like it, fine - but being rude a negative is not the way.

As from my point of view: the description of the two albums is exactly what she is doing ever since TAKE BACK with the usual growth of own taste and what is in right now. If you ever liked her music, there is nothing on this or the last few albums that is not the Kumi you know. Maybe you evolved away from her and it is time to give her up - or at least your nostalgic expectations?

I guess that's what they're calling... "avant-garde."

@Corvina It's always the same people complaining about the same thing.

It's always the same fan base making those comments. Fantome is the epitome of cheap, outdated, and basic but you don't see me or other Kuu fans going into her thread.

Corvina 9th February 2017 04:26 PM

@Kaled: :)

I'm wondering if in the live broadcast next week she's going to play one of the new songs?
Would be great. And right the day after there's Good Time Music.
