:D

considering that she went up agains the big boys ARASHI (who cleared 502,000 in the 1st week wth Believe / Kumori Nochi , Kaisei) & she hasn't gotten a top10 since miss you & Koi wa groovyx2 , it's great :D

a cause for celebration for sure :D

Oh Yeah! :cool

congrats again to yuna, lol.

Wow, amazing! I'm so happy for her!

KarenPang 11th March 2009 04:14 AM

me too it's great that she bound back , the question's whether or not in future singles of her , does she still need to rely on tie in to get to where she's seeing that trust you was used to promote Gundam

~Inori~ 11th March 2009 04:26 AM

I think if they promote her right (i.e. more anime tie ins) then she'd sell well. Maybe she can pull a YUI and get #1's.

that's the problem with STUDIOSEVEN Recordings , they don't know how to promote her well which's odd considering that YUI's also under them but yet she can deliver the goods but not poor Yuna

~Inori~ 11th March 2009 05:02 AM

^IMO, YUI is their Ayumi Hamasaki, so that why I think they give her all the good promotion. I mean she's the only artist on the label that puts out #1's. Yuna should start writing her own lyrics, or start co-writing again. She co-wrote "Mahaloha" and look how that song did on the charts.

that & also probably because Yuna wasn't born in Japan which doesn't make her a full fledged Japanese

it's not easy for non Japanese to crack the Japan market , quite a lot have tried & failed & only a handful have managed to maintain decent popularity in there (like alan , Anna Tsuchiya even though she's born in Japan but because of her mixed blood origins her sales aren't as fantastic as it should be even though her music's awesome , OLIVIA)

& yeah she should start writing/composing more of her stuff , that I agree . YUI did it everything hands on so Yuna probably want to take a leaflet or 2 from her

If I'm not mistaken , Yuna probably co-composed Mahaloha ? I know she cowrote it with Def Tech's Micro , I don't know for composing

Yeah and she's half Korean. Utada did well I think because she introduced R&B or whatever she did before she turned to pop. And her parents are well known in Japan.

Yes Yuna did co-composed the single. She has skills, look at Ima Demo Zutto, not her single but she co-wrote and co-composed and the song is AMAZING.

yeah I suppose so & it's also depending on the timing on when you debuted in the scene

That's true too. If your a foreigner you have to bring something to the plate, something that would captivate the Japanese people. Utada did and so did Jero, even if it was for a little while.

I didn't know that either. Yuna should write more songs!

~Inori~ 12th March 2009 12:14 AM

Do you guys think Yuna would have got fired if trust you didn't do so well?

Sorry, this is just a random though that popped in my head.

Sundae 12th March 2009 01:04 AM

It doesn't work like that. She's still under contract.

~Inori~ 12th March 2009 01:11 AM

^Yeah that's true. I just though since she was doing sorta bad maybe they would just give her the boot.:( But there are artists that sold less than Yuna and they still are making music. She needs to release a next single, that has a HUGE tie in, something YUI like.:yes
