I'm definitely not downloading it, neither is Corikaru. Like him, I won't even listen previews anymore. And I haven't even heard half of the previews yet.

Now for the wait... shipped today... xD

and note her official website has a "TOUR" part... promising?

Also, are the pics on her site the same as the booklet pics? that'd suck, because I accidentally saw 2 already before I clicked the screen away like a maniac :( *sad*

Ayufan11 13th March 2009 07:56 PM

where can i get this 320 version? its not out yet so can someone give me a link or pm me?

Mirai Noah 13th March 2009 08:02 PM

I'm waiting to buy the American version of the album. I might buy it on iTunes, but I'd rather than the physical copy.

And now.... no more previews for me. Other than Come Back to Me, since I already bought that one from iTunes. :P

Kingdom 13th March 2009 08:21 PM

listening to the album now.. i'll post my thoughts after

I don't like - FYI, Come Back To Me, Poppin', Automatic part II - very dissapointed.

Overall this album has a few good songs but overall I don't like it and I will say it's one of hikki's weakest =\. Just couldn't get connected to most of it.
I will listen to the 3 I really liked a lot.
I liked EXODUS more.

I agree with everything you said and I would rank the songs the same except I would put Come Back To Me under "Nice".

but omg Taking My Money Back sounds like a Destiny's Child song from the 90's. Those DC songs were good so I suppose that is positive...plus it has been done a million times before. Massive disappointment compared to EXODUS.

Ayufan11 13th March 2009 08:33 PM

WHERE IS IT?

Kingdom 13th March 2009 08:42 PM

♥: This One (CLAC), On and On, Dirty Desire
 Apple and Cinnamon, MCML - FYI, Taking My Money Back, CBTM
 Automatic Part2, Poppin', Me Muero

overall i like the album! a lot better than the previews, really. not her strongest but waaay better than exodus.

This One (CLAC) is my favorite i think.. it's so pretty and i could see it being really popular on the airwaves. this should have been the lead single!

hehe Well I would come CBTM between nice and don't like but since I'm not listening to it much and didn't like as much the others here I put it under don't like, I don't think it's anything special and I will rarely listen to this song. =D

I didn't listen to any of the previews, but I rather like This Is The One. It's not stunningly amazing, at least not with the first listen, but it's got an understated pleasantness. It definitely continues well from HEART STATION.

1. HEART STATION
2. DEEP RIVER
3. ULTRA BLUE
4. Distance
5. This Is The One
6. First Love
7. Exodus

I can't really listen to anything Pre-ULTRA BLUE. I have some of the albums, but I don't think they are anything worth listening too. Lol. Sorry! I just love the type of style she has in both ULTRA BLUE and HEART STATION.

bluegie 13th March 2009 10:31 PM

GRACE 13th March 2009 11:03 PM

Disappointed at the lack of another epic song like Kremlin Dusk, but I suppose that wouldn't go for the audience she was targeting. All around, the album is hugely better then last year's disaster, but it's still lacking =/... This One is absolutely gorgeous in every definition of the word. Definitely her best work in a long time.

On And On - This song has so much potential. The beat is good, her vocals are good. There's a problem with it. The guy in the background, ugh. Literally listening to the song gives me a headache because of him, which REALLY sucks because it sounds so good other than it.
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI - ...eh. Just eh really. It wasn't bad, definately better than the preview, but it's still not something that's really... good.
Apple And Cinnamon - This was a pretty song, I felt it was a little heavier then it could have been, but it was pretty. I think these are some of her best vocals on the album.
Taking My Money Back - Just take it and go Hikki, this song felt WAY too long. Paired with subpar vocals, it was something I don't see myself listening to again.
This One (Crying Like a Child) - Just yes. Everything about this worked, a really spectacular song.
Automatic Part II - This is like a Disney sequel. Bad and unnecessary. It fails to even come close to the original in every single way.
Dirty Desire - Everything but the chorus in this song was surprisingly really good. I liked this one way more then I thought I would. If it had a good chorus, it'd be better.
Poppin' - ...Just imagining Hikki singing this song makes me want to hurl. She looks like a granny, this isn't the kind of song that should be sung by ANYONE let alone her. It's just BAD in every sense of the word.
Come Back To Me - :3 I like this song a lot, but it still rubs me the wrong way every time she says "I admit I cheated"
Me Muero - I like the melody too much for my own good, but it's too busy. There's too much going on. The adlibbing at the end was the first time I've ever heard Hikki sing in a tone that didn't sound robotic, so good for her.

All in all, it was actually a decent album. Hikki's voice is NOT made for the kind of music she was trying here. I think if she rethought her audience and started singing some pretty ballads she'd find herself some success in a different audience then the American teen and young adult demographic.

My ranking:
1. ULTRA BLUE
2. Distance
3. DEEP RIVER
4. EXODUS/First Love
5. This is the one

Heart Station doesn't rank.

Melon Panda 13th March 2009 11:05 PM

Just wondering - does anyone have a high quality scan/image of the cover of This Is The One?
