I'm shocked Namie can outsell Kana Nishino's new album...on its second week. :shakehead

I don’t see what’s so surprising about that. After best fiction namie became super popular again. Album after album we’ve seen her slaying the charts ever since :shrug

I don't think anyone is shocked about it except you lol

Anyway I don't think Kana mind in not getting #1 in the 1st place . Not as though she has some #1 album streak to keep up with :shrug

Also, the tickebo warnings of resale and ID check with drivers license or passport seems to be listed for every past Namie event on tickebo, so it seems to be an illusion of heightened security while it is pretty standard.

Oh I have never noticed that before :O Good! Then we can rest easy. thanks for checking that out!

Because of the hype over how the lottery became more strict this time. They've never written they were going to check names in the rules before, I think.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's always been there as I remember discussions about it coming up here before. And as mentioned, that's written on her past events as well at Tickebo.

As I mentioned, I've personally never been asked for an ID ever at her concerts and I either A) had a resale ticket or B) had my fanspace ticket with kanji on it that did not actually match my name on the passport etc.

Of course watch this be the one time that they actually check. lol

NHK Working To Bring Amuro Namie On To "Kohaku Uta Gassen"

Quote:

The performer list for this year's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" has already been released, but NHK is not done booking just yet.

According to executives at NHK, the network that host the annual year-end program, the company is still trying to get Amuro Namie to make an appearance on the programme.

Amuro announced in September that she will be retiring from the entertainment industry on September 16, 2018. That makes this year's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" the final one she could participate in, adding to NHK's urgency and tenacity in its efforts to book her.

NHK says it is actively negotiating with Amuro for her appearance on "Kohaku Uta Gassen". The company would not go into detail about what circumstances, if any, were preventing the singer from attending.

Early in her career, Amuro was a staple on "Kohaku Uta Gassen", appearing on the program 9 times. However, her last appearance was in 2003. Efforts to bring the singer on since then have been unsuccessful.

To balance the number of female and male performers, NHK is also in talks with Kuwata Keisuke to join the program's line up.

Honestly I will not be surprised if Namie turns down but this could be the last time she perform on TV seeing that she didn't appear on MUSIC STATION to promote Finally

On the other hand , I think the White team might win this year as the choices in the Red team are so poor it ain't funny imo

Getting Kuwata Keisuke-san would be a great choice as he's well respected be it solo and/or group wise

lfe. 22nd November 2017 09:58 PM

^ It really just depends on if she wants to do it. They don't want to specify the circumstances but she just doesn't like doing those music shows anymore. I hope she makes an exception and they even end up doing some 1 hour special Music Station as a farewell to her.

So as for the tickebo guest e-mail registration, I got bad or possibly irrelevant updates. Turns out my friend may have given my e-mail address to our mutual friend that bought our LIVESTYLE 2016-2017 tickets on ticketcamp. I don't really think it mattered though because they end up just sending the codes to SMS phone anyway. Unless they start personalizing the QR codes with the ticket holder's name on top and they start checking IDs at the gates, I really don't see how they can verify tickets with their registered owners.

I guess we will see in the next few months if tickets start to pop up on resale websites. I'll maybe start a thread on reddit see if we can get feedback from people who went to see how the security was for the Nagoya concerts.

AJFmzk 23rd November 2017 02:51 AM

^ yeah, I was wondering if there would be any general or resale tickets for her concert since they seem to be stressing ID and security, or at least it seems to be more in your face than before.

Sorry for overlooking :o

But, yeah, I have to agree, Namie's much more popular after all...

S4MU3L 23rd November 2017 09:23 PM

I though Kana would sell a lot more to be honest. Is not 79k too low for her???

Marcelo 23rd November 2017 09:38 PM

So the NHK interview was released, I hope there will be translation of it at least in some point! Maybe some wonderful kind soul would even make subtitles for it one day hahah

S4MU3L 24th November 2017 03:02 AM

Any website where somebody can subtitle that interview??

EndOfTheWorld 24th November 2017 04:11 AM

Where have all the Jpop translators gone?:(
I am always surprised by how much doesn't get subtitled these days. It's easier than ever to do now.
Maybe it will be since it is a big event.:heart

Miduhyo 24th November 2017 05:13 AM

I wish I could sub this for you guys but I can only roughly understand about 50% of it. I haven't had to pay so close attention to Japanese since I graduated. xD Gotta say, though, she looked so freaking beautiful during this interview.

Chiharo 24th November 2017 09:04 AM

Yeah, I could understand most of it but I don't think I'd feel too confident about subbing the whole thing.

I found it cute at the beginning when she talked about how much pressure she felt when TK started to produce her. She worried about what if she isn't as successful as the rest of the artists he wrote songs for. She also said that she thought that the first song she debuted with (together with SUPER MONKEY'S) would become a hit instantly, but when that didn't happen (and for a few singles after too) she thought it might maybe be because she's at the center of the group (having the main vocals, etc.) and she even wanted to stop having come to that conclusion at the time and talked to her superior about it. All until TRY ME was released and became a hit.

I didn't watch further though.

Maemi 24th November 2017 06:05 PM

So Finally has sold 1,435,247 until now? Can't wait for the 2 million mark :luv2

Spiral 25th November 2017 03:14 AM

This is the interview in the fancy hotel room. Different from the NHK one. covers mostly the 25th Okinawa live and her thoughts.

i hope this one gets subbed too.

KarenPang 25th November 2017 04:42 AM
