I think everyone is eager to know the tracklist to put the question of potential new arrangements / versions to rest.
If A BALLADS 2 just ends up being a compilation of previously released songs, I know I won't be checking AHS as often as I am now. I'll still be happy to have new covers and to discover Pray for you (assuming it is indeed on the CD), but that's it. Now if it turns out some of the songs get new arrangements, this turns into an altogether much more exciting release! I think that's why everyone seems to on edge to know the details! |
I just want to know if that second blu ray is the damn PoM18 :weep GIVE IT TO US ALREADY

I had big expectactions for this release (sales) but Avex is not doing anything to promote it, just one month left and there's no promo, no tracklist, no DVD/BR content, no cover arts, no CM, the only promo so far was the annoucement and that was pretty plain as well, I hate being negative but this is probably going to flop (Hope I'm wrong) :(
|
^Thats actually pretty normal to not get a tracklist until 2-3 weeks prior
|
^Well yeah but zero promo is not normal at this point, basically only fans must be aware of this release, general public must have no idea, if they were smart they could've use the nostalgia strategy and even people who aren't really fans would've been like "Oh I remember when she released A Ballads back then, so many memories! I'll check this out" but there's nothing at all lol again, I really hope I'm wrong but imo 2-3 weeks of promo (imagining they actually start doing something) won't do much for sales.

The Trouble Tour Promo Poster has some A Ballads 2 Info if that counts xD

The time frame beacame much shorter and its not like any of the casual listeners is waiting for the info. People nowdays wanna see the info and get it right away. They won't be like "oh thats neat, I will get this in a month from now." It does not work that way and I doubt any kind of promo too far away from the actual date will do any benefits to Ayumis sales. It's not only in her case. Almost all Japanese artist have a shorter span between the announcement and the information reveal. I also have to admit that i totally forget about stuff that is released too far in advance myself (aimers current album for example). + the promo does not happen BEFORE the release but during/after anyways. |
^Exactly this. Too early promo is as bad as no promo at all imo. The hype is easily vanished those days, specially for non fans. I think 2-1 week before release and afterwards is the perfect time for promotion. Not so early. (Lana del Rey’s new album comes to mind now, she has been teasing it for so long it kinda feel the hype went away already).
How do you guys picture the covers to be? I don’t know why I imagine them blue. |
^^Both of you are probably right, maybe I'm just to anxious and worried about this release flopping :( let's hope for the best!
|
Personally I expect this album to sell less than TROUBLE given the fact A BALLADS was her worst selling studio/best at the time.
|
^ Tbh, I'm expecting around 25k~30k, but it would be nice if it hit 50k at least, because the chances of it getting to 100k are pratically non-existent at this point
|
^100k is out of reach, not even for an All time compilation imo.
Regarding this album, I hope it at least crosses 20k when all it's said and done. |
Remember the times when we would worry she might not sell another million? lol
|
There's no way this album selling less than TROUBLE, which is a mini album. A BALLADS 2 is a concept album, but still a compilation. I expect at least 50k, with the right promotion 100k isn't that SURREAL. Just look at last Seiko's release, it has sold 40k by now and her studio albums sells usually 10-15k.
