i heard a bit of the new song, and i think it sounds good. but it was a REALLY short clip, so i hope the full song is better.

From what Kuro_neko at EMF said, Shiina said in an interview that the single will be coupled with a b-side that's completely separate from the song done for the drama. Thank goodness. I really don't like the song and I'm glad it's just written for the drama.

Anyone else in love with the the tracks from Ringo Expo. There is a beautiful instrumental version of Shuukyou that made me feel wet XD

the song dosen't sound so bad. i'm not really a fan of shiina ringo in general, so...yea, lol.

Am I missing some other version or are people making judgments on a LQ 9 second clip with talking over it? I can't express an opinion on it at the moment, but I have faith in Shiina Ringo not to disappoint. The sound of it does seem a bit 'safe' for her though.

Also, excited that the second show's BG music sounds like ONE OK ROCK, one of my favorite J-rock groups :)

You are right about it being a 9 second low quality clip thing XD But I don't want safe Ringo. She said this song was made specifically for the Drama so I don't expect anything for my liking from it. But the b-side will hopefully be more ringo-esque and less of the stuff she(and Tokyo Jihen)'s been doing for other bands.

ChickShhh@EMF posted that Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen will be doing a song or two for Tomosaka Rie (Ringo wrote/produced Cappuccino, Mokuren no Cream, Shojo Robot, Ikenai Ko Nippon ni and Umarete for her). Tomosaka's new album will be out 6/24 :] I don't think she's done much since 2002.

Please let this one be better than Heisei Fuuzoku.

Did Heisei Fuuzoku not count as a full length album? I know several songs were just rearranged versions of previous ones, but the album itself was still a solid 12 or whatever tracks.

And I don't dislike Heisei Fuuzoku, it was just not terribly new or exciting material. That jazz sound she's been into really isn't my thing, but when the songs come on I listen and I like.

Though I do go out of my way to listen to the Heisei version of Gambler. It is an amazing epic of a song. Nice lyrics too, as are most of Shiina's.

HF was more like a movie sound track/compilation.

A lot of people were complaining about Karisome Otome being on there but the we still get a ton of stuff. 11 new tracks, 2 old ones and 1 semi-old song competed.

can you say disappointing or what? i'm not a shiina ringo fan, but i thought she'd at least be in the PV. the only part i got was when the money bursted out, since the song's about wealth. but other than that...it's just a nice song. i feel so bad for my jun, though. his drama didn't deserve this :weep
