I first listened to Ayu in 1999... Became a fan of hers in 2003! :)

End of 2003 when Memorial Address came out ^^ ough.. 6 years.... I feel as if I found Ayu a year ago! XD

I became a fan immediately... yes I hadn't any motivations until Ayu appeared so it was easy to start being obsesed with her as I wasn't obsessed with anything XDD

Even though, was one year later that I started to know who Ayumi Hamasaki was in reality (the big DIVA in japan..)

and until 2006 I couldn't start buying her stuff... it was when i found YA xDDD

One day before GREEN PV appeared on the internet. Which would be late November 2008? In the last week of November Ayu first appeared on my last.fm

Hrmmm...I can't really remember all that well, but I believe it was somewhere arounnnd... 2005~2006-ish... In the summer, I think... It was when I got my first iPod, and my friend was over, helping me get songs, and I got a ton of Ayu's, but my "becoming a fan" song was either evolution or M...Can't really remember XD

Me too =D But I only remember when glitter/fated came out, not Secret.

I just started getting into her with ayumix 6. lol I'm late. but I first heard her in 2001 with dearest.

mainly cause when i first got into utada, i swore that she would be the only artist I would ever listen to who was japanese cause I didn't want to be a weirdo and listen to all jpop music. *at the time* a middle schooler living in pennsylvania listening to music not even in english. I thought liking utada was weird enough. and that mindset actually lasted me a good 3 years. till i decided I really should expand my mind to more than just utada.

Sometime around the middle of 2006, I was looking at the Japanese Itunes for some reason and I remember that Kibun JouJou by Mihimaru GT was the #1 (which was the first japanese song that I listened to/liked) and that was released May of 2006. I discovered Ayu shortly after that, B&D and Startin' were the first songs i bought.

1998 with the poker face single ( at that time i nevr thought she would continu for the next 10 years)

i remember its her little cute voice that made me addicted to that song and to her first album a song for xx and the lyrics were just soooo touching !

i think around 2006, during the "Secret" era...
i saw the JEWEL PV on MTv, and a few months later, i became a fan... :D

around 2007 when i stumble upon to watch Ayu's vid in my friend pc,it's when Ayu's teaching trauma dance at dome tour 2000 ^^ i feel very lucky as i get addicted to her after that.

cant imagine i'm like a crazy girl looking around youtube for her AT07 and search all infos about Ayu,thank god i manage to catch it all up,

and that's the first time i watch Talkin' 2 Myself PV was aired in the tv,i was sooo happy ^^

Whoa~ I discovered her February / March 2009... ( don't laugh at me please xD ) ! I listened to Rule, then to Ladies Night, but I didn't liked it that much . But I just fell in love with her with GAME *-* !

For me it was between Secret and GUILTY.. somewhere between 2006 and 2007.
I remember the first new single that came out after I became a fan and followed her career was "glitter/fated", but I totally fell in love with BLUE BIRD that time.

So this song basically made me a fan. :)
