I love those performances! They were great, powerful and energetic!!!
It's incridible how she always tries to make something different, to fit in many ways and to satisfy every fan and every public.

IMO, Ayu is getting better and better with herself and with her job each day she lives.
GO, Ayu! ^^

ayumisrael 30th November 2009 01:08 PM

I will just say that the crowd seemed more pumped and had fun (specially looking at the NO NO part) and that's more than what ayu or jpop female singers usually get in their shows from what I saw. I'm not surprised.

Looks like ayu did succeed with what she wanted to do.

evolution/signal: very good but a bit boring
sparkle: i LOVE!! shes so cute. when ever she uses her squeaky voice (angel song, step you, etc) shes sounds just like the track. but i think she didnt lip sync..maybe it included playback *shrugs* p.s. in sparkle..LOL when the dancers hopped HAHAH (second verse)

..evolution/SIGNAL/rollin' were the least boring of the entire concert lol. In real life anyways. x)

Also, Sparkle's verses were def live when I went there. :3

dreamland2.0 30th November 2009 01:42 PM

rollin'/sparkle was amazing!!! She was so relaxed and it looked like she and the audience had so much fun!!
I really can't wait for this concert to be out on DVD. It looks like so much fun!

I mean, I'm not disrespecting your opinion, but the way you said bad about these songs, it seems that you're not really a fan...But please, don't say that her performances are mediocre, joke or bleh...
Both NEXT LEVEL album and NEXT LEVEL tour are receiving great reviews, and that means everyone is loving them.

You spent pretty much your entire post contradicting yourself. JCD is entitled to his or her opinion, but 'please don't say out loud that they're mediocre'? Are you kidding me? Then to call into question whether or not they're actually a fan is just uncalled for, simply because they've expressed an opinion you don't agree with. Additionally, for you to say that 'everyone loves the album and the tour' is absolute crap. NOT everyone loves them, and if you'd be a little more open minded you see that other people are expressing their opinions, only to be shot down by people who blindly love Ayu and everything she does without having the ability to be objective.

it's really weird part of rollin' and Sparkle
ayu she's acting like.... = ="""'

i like her voice when she singing this 2 songs
but i really hate what she dacncing(?!)

tourniquet 30th November 2009 01:53 PM

overall I like this a little better than her last two tours so far. but don't get me wrong, her vocals are HORRENDOUS. if she could actually sing anymore it would be pretty awesome. costumes are so-so. they're too broad and that makes the moves seem less fleshy. the screen is a big plus.

she lip-synced a lot of Sparkle. but I don't mind. actually, that's why I probably enjoyed that performance the most. she should just pull a britney and do it all the time. it would make the whole thing a lot more enjoyable than listening to the remains of what was once a singers voice.

MissElin_ 30th November 2009 01:55 PM

Aw happy memories that come back. ^^
And Im pretty supriced that they took everything from the first part of the show. Pretty amazing. Love to finally watch this again! :D

maxikot 30th November 2009 01:59 PM

Looks very entertaining but i will wait for the rip of all the broadcasted part. When do you guys think it will be to download?

keikeiaznqueen 30th November 2009 02:11 PM

I think the dancing's very entertaining. It looks a little funny at parts but it's cute. :P The vocals are great--her forgetting the lyrics in the beginning of rollin' and replacing it with "I forgot the lyrics" was very nice as usual and it also shows that rollin' was live--GREAT vocals!

I also liked evolution and SIGNAL. This is way better than PCDL or AT2008. I can confidently say that AT2008 vocals weren't as good as this (since I went twice.)

The beginning of rollin' was cool. The dance was funny, but I'm not sure if that's intentional XD At first I was like, "hmm, futuristic hawaiian dance?"

Batera 30th November 2009 02:20 PM

@chocopockymaster
I said "everyone" in the meaning of the people who wrote the reviews. I know that NEXT LEVEL didn't satisfy everybody, but so far there aren't bad reviews of the album.

Anyways, sorry guys for the misunderstanding. I hope JDC likes the whole show when it comes out. ^^

tourniquet 30th November 2009 02:25 PM

^welcome to the freedom of speech.

Maemi 30th November 2009 02:33 PM

The stage and the perfomances are cool, but I don't like what's Ayu wearing... Anyway I'm looking forward to watching the whole concert! :yes

curryflavour 30th November 2009 03:07 PM

So far, it seems "new". I mean-- it really gave me the impression of a "NEXT LEVEL". Very different from what ayu has been doing in the past years. It all seems more spontaneous.

...I actually like the dance. XD What's wrong with me?!

Hopefully, the full rip will come out soon. D:

aura~ 30th November 2009 03:17 PM

Wow... I was speechless during and after seeing the clip.. OMG I didn't expected this XDD it was sooo funny!! GREAT SHOW!! the lights, the stage, the outfits, all is so colorful!! it's a fantasy show for the eyes!! And I'm really satisfied for her singing and performance!! Rolling is liek a whole joke!! The lyrics are serious but they made it fun, like... I don't know how to explain but I liek how Ayu wanted to express it!! and Sparkle... awesomness!! the end is so crazy and awesome!! Sure it was amazing to be there live!! OMG

and Evolution + Signal, stage and lights are still AMAZING, OMG, I love this about this tour!! Evolution has nothing special but I like how she sung it... and SIGNAL was great and I like how she changed it a bit from PCDL version!! ^^

I want to see the rest!! it seems to be a really awesome tour!! *-*

I mean, I understand there's this whole global recession thing that's still going on, but seriously? Because she doesnt have all the fancy props, the actual talent should shine through more, or at least be pushed harder. Ayu's not that old, I mean if Madonna can still at least keep you interested, I don't see why Ayu has to resort to twirling her hand/dancing the same through two different songs. After seeing how robotic/systematic she has gotten with her performances I was wondering what it would be like for her to just let go, but if this is it then I rather she stick with giving the same acted/extremely choreographed performance every time. At least then it looks like there was more effort put into it than just getting her dolled up, putting her in front of giant screens, and handing her a mic.

I was hopeful for this tour since the songs on NEXT LEVEL weren't amazing, but somehow they always manage to be made better because the live version's interpretation. This time, I think I rather stick with the album versions.

Ayu, avex, the whole production team, who ever's in charge... seriously, step your game up.

EDIT: Oh, and as for evolution/SIGNAL, why is she yelling at me? I dont understand why she just yells everything now instead of actually singing. It's sad when the back up singers are SINGING more than the actual lead.

On a positive note, the stage/costumes were appropriate this time, since these two performances don't have much concept behind them besides just having fun/sparkly stuff, unlike rollin'/sparkle which had a completely different mood and concept. FAIL.

Well, they really were... that was the idea behind that performance xD The choreography, the outfit... it's all a joke

When I saw it live, it felt a lot like it was totally random. I highly doubt they'd planned any specific choregraphy for that part of the song and Ayu was just having fun with it.

And everyone in the audience really liked it, I was right smack in the middle of every body and they all screamed and laughed even harder when she did it.

I know I loved it, it's nice to see her loosen up and just having fun. That's what it should all be about, there's enough sad things in this world. Lol
