Its not my favourite Ayu ballad by far but one must admit that not many singers can channel such a powerful feeling without resorting to a million instruments and special effects. Ayu just needs a piano and her lovely voice, ala JEWEL. I personally wouldn't mind it one bit if one of the new songs had a similar setup.

Over all I like the song, I don't hate it. It's just that the lyrics do nothing to me.

Curtain Call is one of my favourites, too. ^_^ Very simple, yet she sings it very powerfully. I love the contrast.

I'm wondering how long it'll take her to put out another album if You were.../BALLAD comes out so late. if she includes a third single like usual, at the earliest it would come out in February like R/S then an album a month later. but NL was rushed, and she might space things out a little more this year, which could potentially put an album out in May or so. after NL i was hoping for another 1/1 release, but that's impossible this time around.

I feel the album will be released in early 2010. Just 2 singles.
edit: she should do another digital single like Together When...
Like that she don't have to release 2 songs. I miss those days when there was just one new song for each single... There were more singles each year and a focus was put on each song.

I like curtain call its a beautiful song but I prefer ayu's other ballads that are more complex in arrangement. I also like curtain call's pv.

Ayu finally released 3 singles this year...but the first one was for next level. I also think she will release a new album after this single...although I would like her to release 1 more single before that. I wonder when the overseas concert will be and if that's gonna affect the album release and next tour dates.

why do so many people not like the no way to say cover? lol. it's simple but i think it's cute. i think curtain call is one of her weakest ballads, but i like it when i have it on low volume so i can't hear all the imperfections in her voice.

I love curtain call. It's not over the top. I probably wouldn't have liked it as much if it wasn't at the end of an album. idk, I just think it's one of the most perfect songs to end an album...not next level imo...it really doesn't fit. but at the end of guilty or secret, it would have done amazingly. It's so simple and beautiful. not like days or nwts at all where it all power ballad and over the top.

also the nwts cover is horrible. hate that jacket she has on. I want something simple and elegant. not like she's a pink snowball.

In all fairness, this is the information thread for the single, and all the information that's here is the tracklist. It's kind of surprising how much people can talk about 3 phrases... (Not really. I remember we had this many pages last time because of a lack of covers in the thread.)
