Hikki's just so amazing, but she needs better marketing strategies. i know everyone will love her over here if they give her a chance.

emi♡ 21st April 2010 06:38 AM

I would love her to make it big here...

but her attitude during the last album's promotion really just...killed any glimmer hope I ever had for it.

So meh. She's big enough.

Andrenekoi 21st April 2010 10:08 AM

Well... she got huge with no actual effort, all the marketing strategies she excells works for someone that is already famous, but not for someone who still is unknown...

primavera♥ 21st April 2010 07:09 PM

yeah i dont know what hikki thinks shes doing here in america. like if shes gonna make r&b she going to have to try a lot harder than that. there are so many people trying to become famous in that genre and pop genre of course too and sadly, TITO is a good album but to any casual mainstream radio listener it can just fit in with songs that are good for a month and then forgettable. there are good artists out there who i must say made albums as good if not better than TITO. so if hikki wants to be up there. . .she has like a super long road with the way shes going. its like hikki can make a good album if she wants too. whether she puts all of herself into every song on that album to make it amazing is her. i dont think she deserves a lot of fame with TITO. no more than anyone else out there really. . .thats just personal taste with that opinion. after having it crammed in my ears my whole life anything r&b influenced can go in one ear and out hte other unless its amazing

hikki should go all out. and show some of that real creativity. where are more songs like Me Meuro. FYI. . . .no more Automatic part II. its like trying too hard to be there and its not (for me)

omably 22nd April 2010 03:25 PM

urghhh... just watch the prisoner of love pv again and realised how much i miss hikki! :'(

Maemi 22nd April 2010 03:47 PM

I wish Hikki had twitter :(

JackieRos 22nd April 2010 07:01 PM

primavera♥ 22nd April 2010 11:09 PM

Eh... Utada-Online was great. But the admin couldn't afford to keep it up anymore and now he just runs the amazing U.Blog! I hear UtadaNet is good, but nothing will replace U-O for me. :( I'd go there if I were you~

There's hikaruforums too, but they... not much is about Utada unless it's bashing, sadly. They say they just know how to properly criticize her but they're just flat out ignorant. =\

I know :(

I've been listening to Exodus a lot lately and I miss her so much :weep

Hikki come back to me! <3

Picaflor 7/4 23rd April 2010 03:51 AM

^^I've put up with them all these years. :P I really love your exit too. I think firething has that saved on his computer forever and ever. haha. They are mean if they get to know you. If you do join, just don't get too comfortable. I know them well enough to tell you that they wouldn't just bash on a new comer. But don't let them know much about you or get too involved in their conversations or they will turn on you haha. and i enjoy it there. It's the one forum where I can talk about anything. drugs, sex, religion, politics, personal problems, etc. and I don't have to worry about anything getting "censored" or "trashed". yay. However, it's not for the faint at heart.

I really dont' think there is a "good" hikaru forums. I did enjoy UO in my time. (never joined but I stalked for a while. ;D) but nothing will compare to it.

amorphose 26th April 2010 03:54 AM

There's a few new Japanese messages from Hikki~
http://www.u3music.com/message/index...042322365j.xml

Has anyone here watched Innocent Love? I just did finally and omg, I was shocked at how good it was~

ll moments ll 26th April 2010 05:22 AM

aww, i miss U-O too. i had great times there. :) i followed everyone to hikaruforums too, but yeah, i felt like it was more of a clique than a forum. everyone knows each other and there was always drama (even though i was never part of it because i wasn't part the group w/ the mods & stuff. :laugh)

but anyways, i hope there's something new w/ Hikki coming up soon. i miss her! :P

emi♡ 26th April 2010 06:37 AM

Yeah...imo this is the best place to talk about hikki lol

everywhere else sucks ;)

but of course, we don't have the same resources as a whole site dedicated to her would have...

Keiichi_JPU 26th April 2010 02:47 PM

My attempt to translate the messages that U-blog hasn't translated yet.. Beware of non-fluentness :)

Spoiler:

Spring...?
4.22(Thu) 14:01

http://www.u3music.com/message/img1/2010042214014j.jpg

I detected a zigzagging green caterpillar climbing on my purple sneakers!

Shutter chance~!
Purple and yellow make a nice tint! *snap*

"Yeaaahhhh! It's spring!"
I've been thinking about uploading such a message these weeks, but because the weather has been absurd, the timing has escaped me!

I've noticed that I feel like this nice spring is vanishing, so it's probably turning into summer, right?

At the end of this month, I've been thinking about going on an exciting trip by myself to Iwate, however there's snow in Morioka today?? Well.. that's cold isn't it...

I'm back home, I'm cooking.

I eh.. I'll be fine! This time I'll be okay!

(this is the remipan* I got from the staff from the studio, lol)

Woah!!

A nice smell is rising up! *inhales*

Oh no, did I insert too much sake?

-----------------------------------------

*Note: I couldn't find a proper translation for "remipan", but I googled it and it's the type of pan you can see in her picture. With the strange lid. It's probably to make things easier for people who aren't too good at cooking :laugh

I have to go to school now but I'll be back later to finish the last 2 messages.

Keiichi_JPU 26th April 2010 07:43 PM

Hmm then I guess I'll double-post 'cause I'm back to translate the rest.

Spoiler:

-----------------------
I did it!
4.23(Fri) 19:58

http://www.u3music.com/message/img1/2010042319585j.jpg

Accidental DEATH on a plate.

No it's not! I hardly ever do this kind of thing!

Th-, this is.. without a doubt, the most cuisine-like dish out of all the meals I've ever cooked on my own!

No no *shakes head* it's still too early to make such a declaration!!

I don't know if I should shout such things until I've tried eating it (;・`ω・´)

------------------------------

I-, I'm alive...!
4.23(Fri) 22:36

http://www.u3music.com/message/img1/2010042322365j.jpg

In spite of making my home-cooking all-inclusive... I'm alive!

That said, my cooking was a succes! (though it was a low obstacle, lol)

Also, it was extremely delicious.. very surprisingly.

The first bite was quite scary

But then I.. *chew chew*

...

wwooooaah!! (゚ロ゚) This is goood! I'm surpriiised!

At once the tension whent up!

Hmm this is good (*´∀`*)

(↑ Please put intonation on the "u") *1

Anyhow, I'm glad~ I've finished it without disillusioning myself~! (Therefor it was a low obstacle, lol). The recipe I used as a reference was very good wasn't it!

Utada eaves*2, the special set menu of tonight is

Spring cabbages with fresh onion with pork-meat gravy & bean milk soup of fresh potatoes and broccoli. 当店自慢の発芽玄米付き*3

It's definitely healthy!

I put the incredients I have in the middle of the cook pad, and I cook while looking things up in the recipe. I've often arranged cooking like that.

・ Put the pre-cut spring cabbage in the pan. On top of that, put the fresh onion and pork meat.

Translator's note: alright this is where I lost my patience about the infite amounts of useless information about a dish. She goes on explaining the recipe in detail, also the soup's recipe. If someone is desperate for this, request and I'll translate but right now I can't be arsed so I'll skip to the part when she finally stops talking about food

"What's this? I thought that Utada Hikaru's messe was opened, but that was some other person's blog, right?"

Are there people who think that? No?

But doesn't this site have an intense blue background? (lol)

I wonder if on this message site, a message about cooking was ever seriously posted.. Yeah there has, when I made misou soup for the first time!

This summer, when trying to grill fish on my own, I forgot to use a ventilation fan, and two men of the appartment's security came to my room to check my fire detector machine.. I was so embarrassed!
These type of things really happen..

You called?( ゚д゚)Ma'am(゚д゚ )what's going on

That said, today was an exciting challenge.

I made it into a big succes! yahoo!

Until next time (●^口^●)

-------------------------------

*1: She says umauma, which means "this is good", but I guess when you don't put the intonation on the u, it means something quite different.

*2: She randomply pastes the character 軒 behind her name, which my dictionary translates to "eaves" but I have no idea what she means.

*3: Couldn't be arsed to individually look up all these characters. It's about food anyway. Babelfish says "This store proud germination unpolished rice attachment". Riiiight.

Also I spent over an hour translating that final message so I really hope it's alright O_o I found it very difficult, so I could be completely wrong. Let's wait for the U-blog translations, but at least you guys now get the gist of it.

Also, not a grain of news. Nothing about a song, single, album or whatsoever

(Also I didn't understand the part about the "other person's blog" and the messe, sorry)

FuNsTyLe 26th April 2010 08:06 PM

Quiet for a decade, and when she finally speaks, she just writes to tell us she had dinner.

Utada in a nutshell... Don't know whether to laufgh or cry^^;

Thanks for the translation though. Hoping for a new song this year!

That's exactly how I felt. I was like "did I just spend 2 hours translating her recipes?" haha

and you're welcome :)

Mirrorcle Monster 26th April 2010 09:29 PM
