lol why do they all wanna develop in the US...? Personally, I prefer it if alan stays at where she is... because to be successful in the US, she has to be a sell-out (ugh no way)... cos I can't imagine songs like Ashita e no Sanka, Megumi no Ame, Gunjou no Tani etc being hits in the US~

pommy48 23rd May 2010 09:33 AM

Lol and it's funny because she said "I want to go to the US or somewhere else to develop in the future because they seem to like this kind of Tibetan singing"

I wonder if all of her followers on Twitter got her confused @_@ lol

there is a niche for that kind of music in USA industry so its possible to work with a good promotion
and Avex can be good with that (remeber that BoA was promoted by SM and Utada by Def Jam) so just let her try

NintendoHTF1242 23rd May 2010 04:44 PM

alan would flop harder than BoA did and that's saying a LOT lawl

well if she made a new trend in the US, it'd be phenomenal. now that, even Ayu can't beat. :P

octocoffee 23rd May 2010 05:25 PM

Like karakotomia said, there certainly is a niche for her here. Sa Dingding has gained global recognition for her traditional/electro crossover music, and while the main public doesn't know her, she's certainly well-established artist for those who tend to venture into more eclectic genres. I'd definitely prefer alan to be like Sa Dingding than Ayu, just 'cause it would suit her better.

Actually, as I think I've mentioned before, a collaboration between the two would be so interesting.

AyUta 23rd May 2010 05:55 PM

Well, if only our radio stations would play the songs(boa's and utada's) on the radio...it would have been a different story. They just need to give them a chance. alan would do alright if that were to happen. I'm sure there will be quite a lot of people interested once they hear the songs.

adantatu2 23rd May 2010 11:12 PM

alan + USA market = flop

I hope she can reach the top 10 with the new single
And i can't wait for a new song

ストロボ・EdGE 24th May 2010 10:12 PM

I think it's very sad, but there really are no prominent Asians in American pop music so it would be even harder for alan who hasn't even had that mass-pop appeal that BoA and Hikki have had in Japan and Asia. I guess America just doesn't want them right now :shrug.

The only people that come to mind are Yoko Ono Lennon (lol), the rapper from Linkin Park (what's-his-face), and the lead singer of Hoobastank (one-hit wonder).

Polyrhythm 24th May 2010 11:24 PM

lol.....Yoko Ono......."AHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*rest*EEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!"

SURREAL__RAINBOW 25th May 2010 01:25 AM

I couldn't see alan going into mainstream in america... it would result in something like BoA -Episode II-

She would have to do folklore or something like that lol a la Sa Ding Ding

No one was comparing them save the fact that they are both Asian.

gallowsCalibrator 26th May 2010 01:26 AM

Aw I wish she could come here to the USA but it seems like all America wants are talentless weirdos that can't sing vs. goregous and talented singers that can actually sing :weep
