anyways I do want her to do well in sales but is not all about that. Let's just see how it goes. |
I KIDNAPPED KUMA!!
You'd better start some TV promotion Hikki, OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE THE BEAR AGAIN! http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5088/miobear.jpg |
^ I like the use of giving her an ultimatum. :roflmao
Oh well, I wasn't expecting her to achieve 'Best Fiction' sales but I am quite surprised by the "2nd day" turnout. Maybe folks in Japan are still in a 'holiday state of mind'? :shrug Homegirl needs to do some kind of promotion or something. :yes |

^isn't he? lol
yayyy 95k first week |
I'm not saying Hikki's sales are bad but if she's selling lower than expected it really reflects the difficulty veteran female solo artists are having now a days. But I was naively under the assumption that Hikki could sell better than the rest no matter the circumstances...

I actually agree with Poly. Handshake events are used by boy/girl band companies in order to boost profits. I'm not saying hikki shouldn't do that, but not during this moment. Holding a shaking event makes people feel that she's desperated to have good sales, which makes her look cheap somehow. Besides, she's one of those who have a huge statue in Japan music industry. How often do you see those mega stars holding shaking hands event in Japan...?

I totally understand what you mean when you think of handshaking events. Hikki can do that if she's not releasing anything (like... let's say she suddenly do that during her hiatus? :P). That will mean she wanna keep in touch with fans. Or, if the album is selling so well (applies to any album including SC2). The general public will not think she is doing that for boosting sales. But at this moment, I dun think it's a really good idea, not at least until the sales are settled down (good or bad sales).
We of course do not think hikki will hold handshaking events for sales, but other people do not think in the same way. I have already seen several posts at JPM laughing at her sales. That's why I dun post any at JPM (not even visiting that site). I only went there these two days because they do have faster news about sales. AHS are much calmer. |

I actually wish she'd get out more and do stuff. She has a lot of really dedicated hardcore fans...and while, it's not really needed, I mean, it's just nice. You know? I mean, think of all of us as fans, it always makes you happy when your artist does something, or gives out goodies, or whatever. |
i don't think handshake event can boost her sales up...
she is not gonna handshake with 100.000 peoples right? maybe she is just gonna handshake with 1000-2000 peoples, and it won't help that much... but it will give intimate moment with her hardcore fans, that want to say goodbye before her *cough* hiatus... i don't think she will held one though... |
