well i think that he just meant that they have different fanbases and that the album releases or release dates don't really affect which other.
They do if they are from the same artist.

^ exactly, back when Love songs was released Dejavu wasn't even announced, even though it's common for non-Japanese people to be interested in both Ayu and Ku, I am pretty sure their Japanese fan bases barely collide ^^ Ku's sales have nothing to do with the fact Ayu released first and vice versa.

nexts weeks releases could have effected it as well.

And i stand by what i said. Ayumi's cd could effect the sales of Koda's cd. And people knew for a while that she was releasing a new album even if it hadnt been "officially" announced.
