even though she has things to handle, even though she's a businesswoman, we cannot underestimate the fact that there, in Japan, there is another psychology in corporate work. we mustn't put it all down to money, just because in Japan when you work for a company and become a part of it, you work your life doing all the possible and best for it, this philosophy of collective commitment is smth very characteristic of Japan. not only avex has it, you can look at HONDA or Panasonic, where everyone work their asses off till they die even though they began to work there at the age of 16, lol

I think it's both money and usual company stuff.

DBSK's sales were never as big as Ayu's were during her peak and even during Toho's golden days they were no match for EXILE and even today their sales are dropping with each release and they've declined even more than EXILE :dead2

I don't think Ayu has ever said she doesn't exactly care about her sales, sure she prolly isn't upset and constantly thinking about her sales, but I am sure her management keeps her very well informed after all avex doesn't do business for charity. The whole point is for them to make cash.

That's true. I'm sure somebody can remember when exactly it was but (in the last two years or so) one of the magazine's she's featured in regularly shipped a million copies or something like that... Ayu said every time she has a release, that she hopes that it'd make that landmark as well.

Anyway, that at least means she's not completely indifferent to her sales.

^ she was saying something along the lines of she hoped that it would happen... I think she was implying because she wanted to reach as many people as possible.. not the fact that she wanted to sale 1 million... if im making sense...

that's why i said what the article said is not based on the facts.

and imo, ayu doesn't seem care bout her own sales because she has never done massive promotions for her releases.

but then, we'll just get to see if it's true that Ayu is the negotiator for the reunion, LOL.

Right now, i just want ayu to announce her new album soon.
2 months to go to her HLS tour!

Well if ayus sales goes down, she also get her share from Avex, if she owns a part of it + her other side projects she has going on at the time

She did a TON of promotion for A BEST 2 if I remember correctly. It was like everywhere. Also, I don't think she schedules her own promotions. Ayu can't do everything. She has enough on her plate single-handedly writing her own lyrics 24/7 since her debut. It's not her job to call up the TV shows and say "Hey, I have a new release - can I show up and promote it on your TV show?"

^ Honestly, I'd love to see some promotion, especially TV appearances, but if she doesn't, meh oh well, she is the Queen after all...she doesn't need too much promotion! She's the Empress of Pop!

I don't get why she would release a digital single, she's only done that one... there hasnt been any indication that this single will be any different than other singles
