I hope the PS4 doesn't have issues with region coding because the PS3 did it in a very convenient way imo. |
I wish they would just stop region locks entirely...but as long as prices differ so much between countries I don't see that happening(just compare US prices for media, which are incredibly cheap, to rather expensive Central-European prices and those ridiculous Japanese prices - of course they don't want, say, Europeans to import DVDs from America for 40% less)

^^ my understanding about the next generation of consoles is just going to pretty much kill games, lol. (all this crap about codes and getting rid of used games)

For the most part, most Blu-ray discs are pretty much region free. I think all of Ayu's Blu-ray releases so far have been region free while the DVDs are still Region 2.
|
I believe that japan and america (if you are in america) are the same region anyways... so it would be safe to buy if they are region locked!

^ we are talking about Blu-ray, not DVD.
Blu-ray has 3 regions. Americas and some of east asia (everything but china really) is region 1. Region 2 is europe africa, middle east and Australia. region 2 is the rest of the world. Nice little map: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...s_with_key.png |
LOVE the outfits!! Pictures look awesome. also love the Ayu anation stuff i saw... where can i get them?
About the region encoding everyone's discussing, not sure how it works exactly, but it is possible to take ANY Bluray or DVD Player and make it ALL REGION for FREE. My friend did my DVD Player quite awhile ago and I can buy DVDs from ANYWHERE and watch them on my TV without any issues or complications at all. Just pop the disk in and enjoy. :D I didnt bother with the Bluray since Blurays from like Japan & HK are same region as me anyways. |
[QUOTE=TeamAyu2004;2968386]^ we are talking about Blu-ray, not DVD.
I thought blurays couldn't be region-ed locked. I'm surprised Australia isn't under the same as Japan. since that part of the world is called Australasia you think it would be easier but Iv never really got the whole deciding who what region to begin with |

hey know this is kinda off-topic, but does anyone know the FULL tracklist of every performing artist on the DVD?

One of You 13. Time goes by 14. 出逢った頃のように~Shapes Of Love~Dear My Friend (Medley) 15. Perfect Place 16. All I Want Is You 17. one nation 18. BOY MEETS GIRL 19. CRAZY GONNA CRAZY?EZ DO DANCE 20. evoLLANTE 21. HANABI ~episode II~ 22. Sunrise~LOVE is ALL~~glitter~BLUE BIRD~Greatful days 23. You & Me So, there's no "HANABI, theme of a-nation'03, July 1st (!?)" |
I guess it kinda makes sense, they can't cut the opening song. HANABI II is something new and different, the summer medley is kinda essential for a-nation and You & Me is a new song. But HANABI and theme of a-nation are great too.
