Nobody in the comments even mentioned her. They must not recognize Ayu these days.:bsigh

That's totally normal. The audience of this channel is people interested in weird and bizarre japanese commercials, not everyone is fan of J-pop or are aware of artists and stuff like that. :)

Ayu on Spotify made me listen to XOXO again by mistake. Pretty sure they play that song on repeat in hell.

I kinda wish that when April Fools comes, we can all put like the WORST Ayu pics as our avis, just for fun.

I say this with love, of course. XDDD

Hahahahaha good idea

So it's almost been ten years since she last released an album on January 1st... makes me wish she releases one on January 1st 2018!

I will be happy if she does that. Taking her time to make a good album during the year. Maybe one physical single + one digital and touring with CDL 2016-2017 concept like Premium Showcase.

I would like to see some making of videos showing the process of the new arrangements they make sometimes for tours. We always get to see her rehearsing, dancing or doing the aerial dance, and that's it (which is nice), but concerts like hers involve loads of other things and people, so why not showing their work too? Same for visuals, costumes, etc. To me it would make perfect sense, considering we're talking about a concert; music after all.

^I would totally love that. I hope they release some kind of documentary on her 20th anniversary, not only showing her face when the work is done but also the process.

OMG.......... I remember the release of GUILTY and it feels like it was yesterday :O

I'd love to see Ayu doing a documentary like Celine Dion did. A complete behind-the-scenes look at a concert. Getting ready, running around, doing costume changes, everything. And also the recording process.

pedronekoi 2nd January 2017 09:09 PM

^ I want that so much! I would love to see more of her backstage and touring proccess. I love the documentaries Kumi does in every tour.

Can't believe I've missed this video. This may be the best performance of SEASONS.

Where are we continuing discussion of the kanariya performance? I just watched it. I remember someone talked about how ayu "threw down the crown", but that's not the case. She simply held it up, it succumbs to the forces of gravity, and she just didn't resist. Especially given the lyrics about the voices of the canaries being crushed to death, it makes complete sense they put a vocoder over her voice, because ayu in this present day and in her current state is that canary. The lyrics are like a dead ringer for her career as it stands in this day. It's such a beautiful portrayal in that sense, because it is reality perfectly depicted in her art, through a peice that she developed in premonition all those years ago.

I do hope she does documentaries like MY STORY tour again. Lots of behind the scenes. I missed that.

If I remember correctly, the show we watched was recorded on the 30th and for the next show, on the 31st, Ayu changed the "Kanariya" routine so when the DVD comes out we'll see something different.

attractive nausea 3rd January 2017 07:44 PM

^ No the show was recorded on the 31st

I downloaded the audio rip and i find myself listening to Fly High the most haha.

DonkeyKongRemix 3rd January 2017 09:39 PM

I'm really enjoying "Winding Road" recently. <3

anyway, I just loooove that performance of Kanariya. The new remix for it is PERFECT. I would love a recorded version.
