I remember voting for Do Me More and WHAT A FEELING (hoping she'd perform the 2011 Remix again lol) in particular. I also hoped she would do one more performance of Defend Love but it was not meant to be :weep I didn't bother voting for any of her older "classics" though since I already knew her Japanese fans would vote for them all lol
Also, today is the 1 year anniversary of Finally's release and a lot of stores have decided to celebrate it by offering up some purchase bonuses when you buy her releases! https://twitter.com/7_netshopping/st...73846010654720 https://twitter.com/TOWER_Kintetsu/s...22444068945920 https://twitter.com/HMV_Urawa/status...34359067021313 https://twitter.com/CDJapan/status/1060377298723983362 Most are offering a set of "WE ♥ NAMIE" stickers, but 7net is also offering a clearfile and a totebag. |
The 2011 remix of WHAT A FEELING was everything.

About WHAT A FEELING remix, it's amazing even tho I hate her hair on that.. but I didn't wanted to see her performing this song again because the LIVE STYLE 2014 performance was laaaaaaame ;-; She did a great job at Final Tour tho... but I always skip that :P |
Shocked! Already 1 year from Finally!

Seems like Okinawa is moving forward with their plans for a permanent Namie museum! They plan on building it near Ginowan Seaside Park, which was the location of her final live. And they're hoping to finish it by 2020! |

My Final Space book arrived last week!! Thank you to everyone here for their help and advice in getting a hold of it!
I really enjoyed looking through the book. I love that it manages to be an encyclopedia without having too much text as it means overseas fans can enjoy it too. I loved seeing some photos I'd never seen before (like the Concentration 20 era). The only thing I would change is it would have been cool if the song credits had been included too. I liked it mentioned which songs were used in CMs too. I liked that the book included all the CD booklets and PV screencaps (well not all the PVs) as well as tracklistings of her concert DVDs. |
Since her last concert, the mass media have been very quiet about Namie.
Her spokesperson released a statement that since Namie is now a private citizen, she will take legal action if there are publications of her shopping or having a partner or anything of that sort. I google-translated the article so I'm not 100% of what it is being written. Souce from link below. Souce: http://news.livedoor.com/article/detail/15590920/ |
^Good for her, if it's true!
|
^it should be true. The rights to a persons photograph just complete change with your status. As a celebrity you are a "person of universal common interest" and your life ...well...belongs to the public in a way. Thats why it is allowed to take like beach picture of stars and publish them, but not of a private citizen. With Namie giving up her status as a professional singer, she should revert back to that status.
|
Hope Namie can visit some places outside Japan, meet some fans, go to a karaoke with them to sing some Amuro Namie songs and have a great time with them hahaha.. kidding ;-; :rolleyes

I'd be really sad if Namie would go through that but seems that people are leaving her alone since she sued that magazine back in the 90s after they published the pic of her and her newborn son. |

Has anyone else ordered the Namie book off CDJapan? I ordered it back at the end of September and they keep pushing the release date back. Now it's for today, but they still haven't taken any money from my credit card and I've gotten no notification. I messaged them about it but they didn't really answer me, only that I can't cancel the order.
