Do you think she's alluding to having the queens of Drag Race UK featured on the single? Since those are lyrics to their chart topper "UK Hun"?

I don’t know what it is with me, but sadly i feel like i just stopped being excited about her stuff. It makes me sad, cuz she seems to always be so hyped up about it. Everything just falls flat on it’s face for me. Not to mention that this sounds like a set of songs that were done randomly and will just get thrown together to fill in the gaps.

I’m just an old soul by now i guess. Todays pop music just feels lifeless, generic and superficial to me and no matter how much i try to get into the stuff she releases, the songs that i end up liking are getting more and more far a few between. I haven’t had her newer stuff on repeat since Last Minute and that album came out.

It’s really making me sad that i feel this way, there are fewer and fewer things that give me joy. She and her music used to be one of them. I miss it so much.

I have lost 80% interested in her stuff since Party Queen. Party Queen is one of the worst album I have never had. After that album, most of her music / PVs are like from recycle bins. The only excited release was Zutto... / Last Minute / Walk, the single cover is great, the song Last Minute is so personal, I felt like going back to her (miss)understood era while I listen Last Minute.

I probably haven’t listened to a new album on relative repeat since sixxxxxx.

Trouble is my least played “album”; I didn’t even buy it.

And the rockier songs she’s released have all blended together… they even all have similar messages. Past vs present, facing judgment, not caring about what people say, continuing on despite everyone…

BUT, there’s a distinct difference that I feel with Ayu now than Ayu a few years ago. She does seem a lot more interested in recording and filming—and that makes me excited. Ayu, for me, was always the best at beautiful, layered, wintry ballads. So I’m super excited for Mask.

I hope she is giving us the answer of "what is happening to Pray for you?"

So all the content was from the recycling bin but you got excited by a single that felt like going back to previous material? There's really no winning here.

I love Last minute as much as the next guy but that single is the Ayuest thing to ever Ayu. Party Queen has got massive production flaws but is to this day one of her most thought out albums and offers songs and styles completely unique to her discography, which is insane when you think of how long she's been going.


On that topic, I'm excited for MASK because from the description it might be closer to what we usually get from her than the last two singles, so it'll be interesting to see how she navigates that to keep it fresh! It may be a good indicator of where she's going with the album.

I don't particularly get as stoked about her newer music these days because I don't resonate with her recent vibe.

Which is totally fine, things change. That being said, I really liked Summer Again haha. It's not real deep but it's fun.

Ever since I got into metal, I find I just feel very differently about the music I used to love.

Has anyone listened to the snippets shown in itunes? Why does it say Explicit? I guess it's legit since its the same song names? But her name is in Romaji instead of kanji.
