Mao blogged that SID participate in the release of Kuroyume's tribute album 「FVCK THE BORDER LINE」*
The song is Yasashii Higeki ("a gentle tragedy") its a single released by Kuroyume in 1995.

He said the song they're covering is one that is important to him and that he has always dreamed of singing this song if there was ever a tribute album made for Kuroyume.



Other artists will also be participating; the Gazette, Plastic Tree and abingdon boys school.

I never heard of Kuroyume but it sounds really cool from what Mao said

I know SID covered WISH in Luna Sea's tribute album so it seems like another natural thing for the guys to do another cover for another of their fave group(s) which inspired them

Kiyoharu from SADS was apart of Kuroyume.


Mao was super happy about this.

I think its really nice that he can achieve his childhood (is teenagehood a word) dreams :)

I'm sure it's most musicians's artiste to do that . UVERworld did that most recently & soon this weekend , it's SID's turn to take the plunge which's great

hikari has 3 singles while their next album , I expect the singles from one way onwards will make the cut

which means that they will have less new material for their album tracks T.T but I really hope that's not the case :O

I thought they might release a new album after cosmetic but I was surprised when Ranbu no Melody came in :x

but luckily , most of their stuff are good . I want to hear more compositions done by guitarist Shinji as I really wonder , is he hanging out with AKIHIDE on the sly ? 8D

Because you hear cosmetic , Danro (Ranbu no Melody's B-side) & then SECRET GIRL

the Jazz influences on both SID & BRZ's is quite obvious isn't it ? 8D

I haven't really paid that much attention to who compose what in the group yet but I think I will do so from now onwards

I think like B'z's Koshi & abingdon boys school's Takanori , Mao is in charge of all lyrics & I don't think he compose anything , well not that I know of :O

So far , the compositions that I know , most of them are done by bassist Aki including Ranbu no Melody

The other 2 do compose but not as much/frequent as Aki it seems :O
