2/3 of those posts are completely off topic. It's kind of become a chat room of sorts where people are talking random things ( :laugh ).

yeah, it's kind of like the other artists forums where we're just waiting for more news and talk about other stuff to pass the time
and if there is any news i'm sure TH will update the first post right away so people shouldn't have to dig through all these pages :yes

Oh yes, I could just do that. I cycle through several pages looking for a ray of light everyday! I don't care to read about Namie or old covers or how lame Shimomura and S/S is in a thread for a new single ( :P ).

I'm sorry :\ but yeah, you don't even need to be a hardcore fan to know that Ayu's big on her lyrics. There are so many quotes about her wanting to "write what she thinks", every interview about a new single she does has her talking about the lyrics, every single lists her name under "lyrics:", and both on and off the internet she's praised for her lyrics. Even people who have only heard 1 or 2 songs by her, that I've met, praise her lyrics, not her dresses/make-up/jewelery/image whatsoever. It's not a fact known to only hardcore fans, and yeah, it kind of is general knowledge to most people. But still, I do apologize for making the assumption.

(ugh... I haven't been on AHS in forever... sorry guys (If any of you really care that much about me... :P))

Anyways, I'm glad that I did check in, because I had no idea about the new single until, well, now. :innocent So, yay! I can't wait! I can't wait to hear it. As of late, Ayu's winter ballads have been really good.

My fave ballads are JEWEL, Days, Curtain Call and Dearest...if the new songs are anywhere close to these I'll be so happy! I've gotten back into her ballads the last week or so, I keep playing my faves at work! o_O

Yea, I love Curtain call, too. I don't know why so many people hate it so much. It's a pretty powerful and touching song. I wouldn't mind if any of the new songs were along that line either.

^I don't know about that. curtain call was such a beautifuly simplistic song that was such a perfect ending to an album. I don't know if I want that again. like making a second "M". it wouldn't make sense to me. Some songs, imo, are fine the way they are and shouldn't be reused/sampled.

I think if she's going to use one of alan's titles, she should make it like one of alan's ballads LOL. Something like RED CLIFF would be orgasmic! :luv2

I agree. Curtain Call was so beautiful, partly because it was so simple and something pretty different from the ballades Ayumi usually does. I don't want another Curtain Call. It will take a little away from it.

I'm also a Curtain call fan. ^^

I think I would want one song to have a powerful arrangement, with strings etc, and one to be a simpler arrangement. I felt it was like that with GREEN/Days, and it worked really well!

^yea...Ayu should totally have an orchestra ballad...BALLAD could be it. (ok wait...together when...had strings too...ahh heck..I WANT ANOTHER TOGETHER WHEN!)

90% of ayus songs have strings in it...not only the ballads...even many of her rockier and pop songs do

I wish she could come out with another RAINBOW alike.. I just really love the uniqueness of the song~
