I also think people took to much into the whole rock thing...
She is a pop star, she even said she makes pop music first, her new stuff is going to be influenced by rock of the 70's... which is A LOT different from rock music of today, it's not going to be a rock album.

Besides we have only heard one song off of the new album... maybe her singles are more radio friendly and her album tracks are the experimental ones?

Not to be mean, but there are people who take ke$ha seriously as an artist?

I just can't take her seriously as an artist and I can't believe it when people consider her an artist.

What Ke$ha doesn't parade herself around like a certain avex product so shes trash? At least she actually takes part in the music past lyrics.

She's not trash. At least not in real life.
Her music makes her seem trashy.

But I love what she stands for, so I keep checking on her.
When it comes down to it: she's a great person who's beautiful ( and looks GREAT naturally )but as an artist she is just questionable IMO.

I think its because right now, she is just nothing BUT gimmic.

I will say she has only 1 album under her belt, and a 're-release' she still needs to grow and find herself.

I will say, musically, she needs to continue, because I love it.

She is trash because that's how she portrayed herself at first, but it doesn't mean that she isn't an artist. She's quite good and unique when you think about all the works she's done for other people who don't write their own stuff :shrug

If she completely drops auto-tune, then we'll talk about artistic growth :P

ERHM... Ayu, Boa, Kumi, Namie, Miliyah, Mika, Gackt, Girls Generation, 2NE1, Hyde and Utada all use auto tune. The list continues. Just bc they have their voices mastered to sound like they don't use effects...
