Nothing has been decided as of yet because IU and her agency are still discussing whether the new song will be a follow-up to her second album in the form of a repackage edition or would be released as a digital single as the production of the song is almost complete.

The singer of "You & I" is scheduled to release the Japanese version of hit track "Good Day" in Japan on March 21 and also plans to focus on her Japanese activities for the time being. As a result, IU is carefully considering all the options before announcing the release of her new song in Korea.

A representative of IU told OSEN's reporter, "IU will begin her promotional activties in Japan starting March, and it won't be easy to determine when she will be able to promote in Korea." He then added, "But we have plans of releasing a follow-up song to "You & I," we just need to find the right time."

Meanwhile, IU has been preparing her debut in Japan with appearances on Japanese shows and music programs and also held her first showcase on January 24.

I'm excited to hear that she will be releasing a new song in Korea soon. If she decides to release it in a repackage, I hope it's similiar "Real +" as I already have the limited edition of "Last Fantasy" and have no interest in repurchasing the whole album again. I wouldn't mind if she released it digitally though since songs sell well that way as well.

I would love it if she released a Japanese version of the song "You & I" it's a beautiful song. I really hope she does someday. o.o

Thank you so much for posting the teaser! I can't wait to see it in full! I'm happy that they didn't put as much makeup on her as they did in the Korean version. She looks older as well in comparison. I hope they put the video on the album DVD since I bought the version of the single that has the photobook and "IU JAPAN PREMIUM SPECIAL LIVE" instead. According to her official Japanese website, the full video is supposed to premiere on Space Shower TV on the 1st of March!

Thank you so much for posting the full MV! The song sounds great in Japanese and I enjoyed the video! I can't wait to see the lyrics so I can sing along! I'm also looking forward to the translation so we can compare them to the Korean version.

I'm really looking forward to hearing "Rain Drop" in Japanese as well! I haven't listened to the Korean version much but if it translates just as flawlessly into Japanese like "Good Day" did, I'm sure it's going to sound awesome!

IU's To Hold Her First Nationwide Concert in Korea

IU will be making a comeback with a new single on May 11th!

Meanwhile, IU's self-composition will be released on May 4th at 00:00 (12 midnight) through online music sites, while the single "Spring at the Age of Twenty" will be released on May 11th.
