It´s unique because it´s written with inspiration by many fans, it´s just wonderful.

There is a small chance the single will have some competition on 12/16. Misia's song is the theme song to the drama Jin, which seems to be getting popular. So while Misia isn't usually a threat, the drama could boost her sales. (like a dorama did for her song Everything)

I'd like to see AVEX having to put some more work into getting Ayu another #1, however "Everything" was released in 2000 and it's first week sales were 3.5 x the sales of her previous single's first week sales.

The previous MISIA single in 2009 only sold 6k during it's initial week and 9k in total, she didn't have a single which sold more than 70k in 7 years, she'll need one hack of a strong tie-in...on top of all she has the album coming out the same day ^^

Then the competition might be pretty dead, I didn't know the MISIA's single is a re-cut and the song is going to be on the album as well.
Most people would get the album (and I wonder if it could mean a competition to Namie if the tie-in is going to be that strong. Also the drama has to have really high ratings and a lot of people need to get interested in the song in order to buy both the album and single and it will be hard to sell the single but probably her record label thinks she can sell well with both, more money.

Ahh, I didn't know about the album. So she might have stronger album sales than the single. And I brought Everything up to show that drama tie ins that are popular boost her sales. (Everything had a major drama tie in)

I know, I just pointed out that "Everything" was released almost 10 years ago and that even if her current sales get an equivalent boost in sales to the one that she had with "Everything" she would still sell under 50k :), still the song could turn out to be extremely popular (or not) ^^
