I remember when ayu was in hawaii and I called around 5 star hotels..
and I asked for her and they said "one moment please" I was like OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS?! LOL all I can remember was a "moshi moshi" and I asked for her and they said "chotto matte kudasai" but i don't think it was her lol, but it sound like a party in the background, maybe it was her, just her staff talking loud

yes! I think I have talked to her, because at first, the first girl, had to be one her of staff members, but then when she got on the phone, I just knew her voice lol

here's how it went in dialogue:

ME: Ayumi Hamasaki, please...

FRONT DESK LADY: (searching last name in computer database)...yes, AYUMI HAMASAKI, ONE MOMENT PLEASE

(at this point, my heart is racing and i'm out of words, truly thinking this could be her! who else would have the same name?!?!)

GIRL ANSWERS PHONE: moshi moshi (hello?)

ME: hamasaki - san to, hanashitai no desu ga. (I would like to speak to miss hamasaki lol)

GIRL: CHOTTO...(hold on)

(at this point, I was surprised she did not ask who I was....wierd..
in the background, there's laughter and talking, as if everyone was just settling or unpacking, maybe?!?! then I heard a guy speak english, maybe it was Stan?...about 6 secs, a girl picks up phone)

POSSIBLE AYU: moshi moshi

(she sounds VERY different than the first girl and more squeakier, like ayu)

ME: hamasaki-san, genki? hawaii wa suki desu ka?( aloha, miss hamasaki. do you like hawaii?)

POSSIBLE AYU: hai, suki da yo, demo...dare? (yes, I do, but who are you?)

(at this point, she starts to get suspicious and asks about my identity, maybe I inspired her song?! lol)

POSSIBLE AYU: dare???? (who are you?)

ME: anata no fan desu! gotaizai o otanoshimi kudasai! (i'm your fan! enjoy your stay!)

POSSIBLE AYU: domo arigato (thank you)

(she hangs up) lol

maybe the receptionist wasn't supposed to pass your call to Ayu but she did and ayu/ayu staff thought you were someone important (friend, avex...) XD

lmao yes! I kinda use to doubt it was her, but now that I think about it, I'm sure that was her! I can't wait for her come to the states again, so I could call around and if I get through to her again, I'd record it for you guys :P that is the most nervousness I have ever felt....

It may be possible that she may not want to be disturbed by phone. She may have had told the front desk she isn't accepting phone calls...I mean, she is a star and when she is working on an album, I'm sure she doesn't want to be disturbed by phone calls, especially from fans who really aren't supposed to be doing that in the first place. I personally think it's kind of an invasion of privacy. Seeing her in front of the hotel or whatever is fine...but actually calling her?

yes its an invasion of privacy, but that was just for fun...I didn't know I would actually get in contact with her lol
I understand that she needs to focus on her work and I'm not putting myself in that situation again...

Of course,I wouldn't want to do that again, especially since I had no intention of talking to her, it was mere luck lol, I thought it was impossible, I was surprised myself..but that's not me.
I only did the call based on my friends, plus they live in hawaii around the hotel areas and are ayu fans..
of course she doesn't want be bothered by me or anyone else for that matter.
even the same way in public, she's a little more relaxed..

I mean that if we are gonne divide the book in world catergories (like N.A, S.A, Europe, Asia etc etc) maybe those pages who present each world part should have the same grey format like the intro page. The same grey frame and same font and such. :) It would look pretty nice imo.
