LOL I remember those!

My Halloween is not the same without the blue and the green ones on my burger.

I finally went to the Past Future tour tonight. :) I have to say, of the three times I've seen Namie (Best Fiction and Play tour), this one was my favorite! Her voice tonight was excellent, she was rarely out of breath, the ballads were perfect and she only had one instance where she pulled the mic so far away that you couldn't hear her. ;)

I also thought that the choreography was a step up from her last couple of tours. Ever since 2006 I've felt that her choreography hasn't been as good as it once was; it still wasn't as good as pre-2006 level, but it was an improvement.

Also, she seems to really prefer performing in halls to big arenas. I've always noticed this on her tour dvds that she seems more comfortable with smaller audiences; maybe she likes the closeness of the halls because her energy shined through much more than it did when I saw her on the Best Fiction tour.

Now for those who liked the Best Fiction tour because of its grandeur, stage, props, etc, this tour might be a disappointment. It is a much smaller scale and I would say even smaller scale than the Play stage. More along the lines of Space of Hip Pop overall in terms of the scale. BUT, for me, that just meant less distraction from what Namie does best - non-stop singing and dancing. :)

Ohhhh awesome! This is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear! The BF tour was too much, I like when she's on a smaller stage dancing her heart out!

Here is what I remember specifically about the performances: I thought that Fast Car was very similar to Do Me More last year. She spent a good part of it seated and overall there wasn't a whole lot of energy to it (all the other songs had energy though.) Want Me Want Me was a new version. :) It had a more rock edge to it and completely new choreography. First Timer was better live than on the album and had good choreography. I also specifically remember Steal My Night and Love Game standing out in the choreography department. Do Me More I was slightly disappointed with. It was different than last year; just Namie and two of the male dancers, but I still thought that song deserved more 'umph' in the choreography and performance. Rock U was the most surprising performance - of all the songs that's the one the crowd rocked out the hardest to.

The outfits were typical Namie. All of them were good, but nothing that super stood out or anything. :)

:love Ooh thanks so much again for these details <3 So... Do Me More performance had only 3 person(included Namie n 2 male dancers) only? =( That s**k Anyway, can't wait for some news's video review

Celaphorce 11th October 2010 04:27 PM

I really wanna see Rock U heard so many good things, everyone's who's seen her perform it said it's the most hype song in the tour :love

I so much pray for Ayu to release AT10 on bluray, I got some money and wanted to buy more original concerts of her but now seeing that Namie is releasing old concerts on blueray I think I'll wait for Ayu to do the same (which must happen sooner or later).
