I don't know what it is but the 2CD cover looks kinda creepy, her smile is a bit off and her tan is just.... Iffy.

Surprisingly, the giant mouth one looks better in HQ than the other one, although I still think there's something really funky going on with the lower half of her face in that photo. I actually think the green eyeshadow works well in that photo (the giant mouth one).

As for the other one: I can see what emi's talking about with the hand, although I wouldn't have noticed it unless she said something. I'm more focused on her terrible makeup and lips. The color of her lips is all off and those teeth never help. I like the tan, hair, and contacts, though - I think they work.

I think if someone were to lessen the shadow on her nose, lighten the green eyeshadow, and change the color of her lips the photo wouldn't look so off.

I agree with this. The one thing that annoys me most about the covers is the eyeshadow, it looks fine in the 2CD+DVD version, but in the 2CD version it clashes with all the blue. I think it would have looked better if she had a more skin-colored eyeshadow, possibly more orange or brown.
But yeah, this is what we got, and I don't think the covers are too bad. I'm not too bothered about the nails, all long nails scare me in some way, and I think Ayu looks quite sensual and beautiful in the 2CD+DVD cover (and a bit less so in the 2CD one).
So in my opinion, the covers are fine. :)

I like the green eye make up, it's cute and summery, a nice change from what she usually has. Something is wrong with her hand on the +dvd one, it's like her fingers start from her wrists. :S

Still not a huge fan of either cover, they're not great but they could have been so much worse, so I'm thankful for that lol

oh random, I like the contacts so much...but when I photoshop them darker...the picture looks better for some reason. I'm torn between keeping them and getting rid of them in my wallpaper.

The eyes and eye makeup are fine. Her teeth look awful though. They need to lower the brightness a few notches. It makes her teeth look flat and extremely unnatural. I mean, that's pretty bad considering they're veneers and are supposed to look good considering I guess her original teeth weren't the best?

Okay, the 2 CD one looks BETTER now that we can see more details. Still wonky and doesn't quite look like her to me though.

Now the CD+DVD version? LOVE IT! She looks like a mermaid!!! Glad I'm getting that one! Thanks for uploading the HQ pics!

She does look really gourgeous in the CD+DVD version, but what spoils it is the expression of her mouth...
But in the CD version she looks a little bit better smiling.

Ayu in the CD +DVD cover reminds me of a nymph - and not the happy fun kind, either. The kind that uses her singing to lure hapless victims to them so she can eat their skin :P

Really, though, I'm mixed about these covers. I LOVE the eye makeup in both (I'm a fan of bright eye shadow) and I really like the blue color of her contacts...I'm just not sure I like them on her. I don't like the claw-nails in either picture.

Overall, my favorite is the CD+DVD cover. I like the colors, and it actually looks like her. Ayu's lips aren't as fish-lip-y as I thought they would be, and I like her pose and expression. The low chroma/dull greens, blues, yellows, and browns in the background really complement her well.

As much as I love the green eye make up in the CD version, it does clash with all of the blues. Had there been one more green element, it might have worked. Also, whether it's because of the contacts or too much photoshopping, but she barely looks like herself. I'm not a fan of retouching, well, ever, and they overdid it here. Plus, the angled of her head and the way her hand is posed over her neck is awkward.

It's so weird about color contacts, and I guess it's just because they're circle lenses and they cover up too much of one's actual eye and change the way light reflects off of it, but whenever Ayu wears them, her smile doesn't seem to reach her eyes.
