If they do hate her so, no wonder she stays in LA so much. I hope she and her fiancé end up having a long happy life together. And I hope she continues to make great music.

The media (and probably the public) almost blamed Namie for the tragedy surrounding her mother and she was strongely attacked for every aspect of her pregnancy, marriage, divorce and custody battle.

It's kind of dumb if they are criticizing her flying post-New Year when she's done that for a looooonnngg time now.

i think a lot of celebs get that bashing stuff, it's just different for every one of them. Look at GACKT getting all the tabloid crap all the time, whenever he's comming out with something big (tour, album etc.). Stories of the calliber i couldn't even dream off o_O plucked out of the air stuff that made him loose work deals. Not to mention so many of foreign world hate him for some reason, general public in Japan isn't loving him either. i don't think she's the only one getting the hate, there's always someone who will go after you if they get a chance. The thing is Ayu is giving them chances too often, and they pick up smallest of reasons to go after her like a pack of wolves.

It's the same as how "Kim kardishian wearing white before her wedding" and such silly news is reported in the US. Generally speaking...no one cares. And therefore the news articles become cesspools of hate driven comments.

If I were ayu, I'd basically be on a mission to say "screw you" to the tabloids by 1) getting married & being happy, and 2) getting away from Japan as often as possible so I don't have to see a single word they say.

I have no idea, but it was no different from everytime Ayu gets really fucked up like the hearing loss... They expect their celebrities to be perfect, and they will get attacked when they aren't... Even if they aren't because their mother got murdered.

There was also media wishing her career would just end and stuff like that... Nothing so different from nowadays Ayu.

edit: But really, to be fair, it's not like media take it easy on celebrities going through personal tragedy anywhere in the world... Britney and Michael comes to mind.
