wow lol. not gonna listen to the preview but rolling over AHS hating it. my hopes are a little crushed now tbh. :( last thing this album needed was a third Walk.

@delicious n bold: nah, midtempo is more like, fuck I can't think of an example lmao. but crossroad, MOON, November etc. are most definitely ballads.

oaristos 2nd April 2015 06:01 PM

During the chorus I had the feeling that I was actually listening to another version of "Walk". It's not bad, just a little disappointing.

Coelacanth 2nd April 2015 06:03 PM

Normally I would be echoing most of you who are saying it's a snoozefest... but I don't know, I find there's always something charmingly mysterious about TK ballads.

It took me a while to warm up to Pray and beloved... because not only do they have the typical Yuta Nakano sweeping grand ballade sound, but the melodies sound like the kind of generic, palatable dreck Yuna Ito or some other second-rate J-pop songstress would sing. TK ballads: Ivy, Walk, Virgin Road, November... have a kind of unique quality in the way they build /relieve tension.

Urghhhh~ I'm gonna save this song for last, until I got my physical copy...... @@

I actually agree. There IS something charming about TK ballads. Because I loved Ivy and Walk and I think I need to judge Anything for You in full. I think there's gonna be a beautiful bridge somehow...looking at how the lyrics are written..

The chorus sounds like Walk, it's true, but GOD. It's the first time in a long long time that I enjoy a classical Ayu ballad from the first play. The instrumentation is wonderful, and those verses, mmmmmh. I was disappointed it was a ballad for the first quarter of a second, then I started loving it.
My, the last classical ballad I liked so much was Together When.

I think Anything for you it's ok but I want to hear the full version. 7 minutes seems interesting

Same here! I'm even holding off on listening any more to the "Zutto... / Last Minute / Walk" single for the sake of keeping the album as fresh as possible. The wait is really becoming quite unbearable though, I'm hoping that mu-mo ships out the copies extra early (and that EMS will cooperate with me some more!).

I don't really care if it's uptempo since I expected a ballad anyway. I actually really like it. Probably because it's similar to Walk. I just hope it actually impresses me like Walk did. Otherwise, it's kind of lame.

Chibi-Chan 2nd April 2015 06:40 PM

I really like the preview of Anything for you. But A ONE has the same problem as LOVE again. It's full of ballads and midtempo songs, what makes it as an album boring as hell.
I mean, if an album is full of ballads and midtempo songs, the songs need to have VERY different and creative arrangements like those on Love songs. I love to listen to the songs on LOVE again seperately, because they are great, but it's not a great album. Same goes for A ONE which has The GIFT, Story, Zutto..., Walk and Anything for you which are way too similar to be on the same album.

koumori 2nd April 2015 06:42 PM

I'm usually not the biggest fan of ballads, but I actually really liked the preview for Anything For You. Just something nice about it.

lastminute 2nd April 2015 06:44 PM

I resisted and haven't listened to any previews (I did listen to the previews from the promo events, once, so I don't remember how each song sounded like lol). I only listened to WARNING and The GIFT because of the PVs and that's all. I am terribly anxious, I hope it leaks soon!
As for "Anything for You", even though I have yet to listen to it, from what you guys say, I can see how it may be disappointing but I'm a sucker for ballads. GIVE ME THEM BALLADS, GIRL.
And, if it resembles Walk somehow, I can see myself loving it.

Kazeyomi 2nd April 2015 06:47 PM

I wasn't expecting too much after reading Anything for you was a ballad. But after listening to the preview, I'm expecting a lot now.
It's totally a TK ballad, but there's something interesting on it. Both Ayu's voice and arrangement sounds clear and lovely. It doesn't sound cheesy like some other ballads so far.
Cannot wait to listen to the full version.

Yukitora 2nd April 2015 06:51 PM

I love it. it's a beautiful happy version of walk. Love love love.

Aderianu 2nd April 2015 07:11 PM

Uh... bad reviews. I'll wait for full version, maybe it will have something interesting in the end.. like "ikiteruyo"

BlackSilence 2nd April 2015 07:13 PM

it's nice...the chorus however..the melody was so lovely until it hit the chorus, than tone....sounds really negative......I prefer walk from what i've heard in this one.

now i just though of what would like to hear from Ayu that she really doesn't have, an upbeat acoustic guitar track, or something like Rie Fu does, with acoustic stuff.. Like just her vocals and just the guitar. i think that would sound really fresh for her.

And um i have a feeling Step by Step is gonna be an other ballad lol

andycruize 2nd April 2015 07:23 PM

To be honest this is her best album for me, all the songs are great. If u said her fucking ballads is boring, for me it is not.

SKYia 2nd April 2015 07:44 PM

There's no such thing as too many ballads with Ayu, when Anything for You began I thought it will be the weakest song on the album but then I started to like it around 1:30 and by 2:30 I was already crying T__T I really like the twist at 1:30, though her voice could be less chipmunk, I seriously hope this will get a live performance, I want all songs to be performed from this album, it's so freaking awesome T_____T

The build up kinda similar and the whole 'Boku wa' strengthen the another Walk feeling

xLuna&1LOVE 2nd April 2015 08:05 PM

Gave it a couple more listens. It's crazy how quickly it grew on me.
