I was listening to a mixed playlist and NO FUTURE came in and wow. The magic happened again. The right song in the right moment.
|
The Show Must Go On and WARNING are so good, that I can still play them without getting tired.
|
The only song I got tired of in A ONE is The Gift. Really... i just noticed that I have to be i a certain mood to appreciate that song. And now its getting summery I tend to play TSMGO and Out of Control more often. They sound summer songs for me XD
|
I've actually come to love the gift more. It's just so weird because it's exactly the type of song I'd normally dislike, but I really do love it. Walk and Story are also fantastic ballads.
No Future still gives me life. But this is more of a winter /early spring album for me. So not really going to listen to it as much this summer. |
Yea A ONE didn't really have much staying power for me. Hardly listen to it beyond Last Minute / Out of Control / Last Future nowadays. Still bring Colours and Party Queen out for spins now and then though.
|
Maybe you guys got tired of A ONE, because June and summer is here, so we are all a little bit in the mood for some upbeatness.
I find myself listening to the trance albums lately. Especially the Ayu-mix-6 Gold/Silver Though, WARNING, Last Minute and yes the GIFT are the three I frequently listen to. Do not much care about the other songs. |
I usually prefer Ayu as a blonde, but these are some of her best covers IMHO, and I'm glad she kept the look for the tour.

^ayu-mi-x 7 (trance at least) is constantly in my rotation.
Anything for You was soooo sweet live. It was one of the songs that I cried during. WARNING and TSMGO were also really superb. |

I start to love this album even more, listening to it as a whole on Friday night is so awesome. I was a bit 'meh' of Out of control, Story, Anything for You at first - but now it's so mesmerizing! I still think that the melody of Anything for You sounds odd, but overall is still great.
|
In my country it's winter and it's so cold, everynight I listen to A ONE, It matches perfectly this season of the year. By the way, I don't get tired of Anything for you ( A masterpiece for me, I still surprised for not feel like those 7 minutes are actually 7)

I can never get tired of A One <3 all the songs give me classic Ayu that i can listen to forever and forever.
|
Do you know the pic with ayu standing on the moon (from CDL 2014-2015 A)? That would have fitted A ONE so nicely as a cover (the feel of an winterish/early-mid spring moon)
|
I don't understand why someone would say they got over the album in a week, or don't listen to it anymore, or didn't think they'd get over the album so quickly. It just makes everyone look immature when they say they are listening to a-yu-trance and are already over A ONE. All this negativity is just unnecessary. /sarcasm
I'm still listening to A ONE regularly. For some reason, the a-yu-mix stuff hasn't been a big part of my fan experience, though I like to think I like all the baubles she releases apart from studio albums. At least there's some variety. A ONE is still on my daily playlist though. Story, Anything for You, Walk... just some of the best ballads I've heard from her in years. :D |
I don't lisen to the a-yu-mix or any of the remix stuff either. Maybe its time I get to it since so many fans seem to enjoy them so much? At this point there are so many remix albums tho. Don't even know where the heck to begin.

Ayumix 1 - A Song For XX Ayumix 2 - LOVEppears Ayumix 3 - Duty Ayumix 4 - I am... Ayumix 5 - RAINBOW Ayumix 6 - Everything from Memorial address up to GUILTY Ayumix 7 - All 50 singles So I say pick an album you like of the ones listed, and try that one out. There are plenty of Ayu discography threads in the downloads section to get them. Of course, as it goes with the Ayumix series, there isn't just one album for each. For example Ayumix 2 has 4 albums. An acoustic orchestra album, a nonstop megamix album, an album featuring dj's from europe and America, and an album featuring Japanese DJ's. I know it's a lot to handle, so pick an album that you like, and then from that Ayumix pick one of the cds that interests you the most. For people that don't really care about remixes, you can never go wrong with Acoustic Orchestra. |
^Thank you for the help. I had in fact tried Acoustic Orchestra Version before and really enjoyed it. Its the remixes that scared me a bit I guess. Now that I have your little guide I will start to check them out. Will start with Ayumix 4 since I have always had a spot in my heart for I am...:yes
